  1. Hey mate just some pics that may help? 1. Pic of BOV vacuum hose with the t-piece and guage hose connected "> 2. Shows a close up where to t-piece the vacuum line from the guage into the vacuum line for the Bov "> 3. Shows the Vacuum line going into the firewall through the gromet. If look up inside the drivers footwell you can pull the hose through into the inside the car and up into the dash. "> Hope this helps, if not ill try to explain more
  2. Been a while since i posted so thought id show some sort of progress with the motor, Been on for a while now but got my rx7 cooler and blitz BOV on. "> Also got my Blitz boost guage fitted a while back, and got my Red Rota gt3's to go on! Will get some more pics soon!

  5. This is a similar problem when your lambda/oxygen sensor is fucked as the air/fuel ratio goes out the window. I know ther completely different cars but did exactly the same in my old 306 xsi. Just got it on the diagnostic machine and the occilloscope shown that the sensor was dead.
  6. Think i may missed previous posts? but whens the car juddering when accelerating or...?
  7. Hey mate welcome! Would agree with this, depends if you fancy doing the whole modding thing from scratch youself if you are planning to mod it of course? Starting from standard is beneficial as you start to understand the ins and outs of your car alot better plus you get a sense of acheivment out it. Or getting one thats been modded does save a fair bit of money, but in the other hand you could end up correcting mistakes costing you lots of money? Just got to weigh it up, i ended up going for a standard one in the end, wanted to do all the work myself. But you do get sucked in because you c
  8. Hey mate, mine makes a ticking noise too. On mine its the idle control valve. Its quite a fast distinctive tick on idle! Look up by the inlet manfold to the left. There will be a small cylinder looking thing with a plug going to it. If you unplug it for a sec, the revs should drop then obvioulsy the ticking should stop (if this is the problem). If it stops then its the valve, so not to worry! Worth a try? Also mine doesnt tick from cold with the hightlights on, because the revs obviously pick up effecting the ICV. Sorry if this doesnt help but just sounds like similar, if not the actuall prob
  9. Just fitted my rx7 cooler, i agree with dave ashton, it pulls harder in the higher rev range, plus dont know if its just mine but you can here the turbo spool up better (sounds mint). Personally think its a good little inexpensive mod!
  10. Hey mate, welcome! Are your rota's 15" or 16"? Just wondering got a set to go on mine but just wondered because they look well smart on yours?
  11. What leads have you got on your car? There most likely to be supressed which wouldnt cause an interefrence, its normally the classic cars now days that have the old copper leads which cause interefernce because there not suppressed.
  12. Lol no worries mate was just curious thats all. cheers for your help again
  13. Oh ok cheers mate, do you know where that hose comes from and goes to?
  14. Quality mate, Thanks for your help bud, its lowered 30 mm at the moment with standard 14'' wheels lol But will see with the 15'' Rotas if i need to go lower or not! Thats if i actually get them of course
  15. correct me if im wrong, the lower number on the offset the further the wheels stick out? i.e et32 would stick out wider than et40? The rota's im interested in are 15x7 et38?
  16. Lookiong to get a some rota gt3's. Will i have any problems with the 7'' width wheels opposed to the 6.5'' in fitmet/rubbing? gratefull for any help!

  21. Cheers micky boy, take it you got one of these on yours then? Is just as simple as that, tap a hole anywhere in the inlet manifold and connect the vacuum pipe to the nipple?
  22. Hey guys, Planning on getting an aftermarket boost gauge for the glanza shorty. Going to go for a mechanical one, i know that you need to rig it up to a vacuum line but which one? If anyone could help, maybe with pictures of which pipe to join the t-piece to etc, would be much appreciated! Any recommendations on what gauge to go for? Cheers!

  25. Well i would say the best way is by driving it, if the CV joint is making a heavy knocking noise when loading it up i.e going round a corner then its going to be that joint. Also you will be able to tell when you have taken it out of the hub, because when you wiggle it around it will feel like its grinding and knotchy if that make sense? Or even by jacking the car up and spinning the wheel freely you may be able to hear it, depends how bad its got? Not sure how much new CV joint are for starlets, but shouldnt be to expensive i shouldnt think, its when you have to buy the shafts as well you br
