im 18 mate.. 19 this year... thats why was thinkin jus camming it or changing pistons or something... mayb wont put insurance up 2 much compared to putting a turbo or 5E isn't it. Would be well worth the money tho... GT insurance isnt to much is it??

Cheers bud. ;) Sounds like some good advice!! i was seriously looking into doing cams but if its not worth the money i wouldnt but i didnt think i would be able to afford a turbo till im about 20. Does putting a 5EFE bottom end mean getting the lump out of a paseo and putting it into my sr?? this would be a big job would it not.. hmm it is very tempting tho

I may be going mad.... But didnt someone used to paint rocker covers if you sent it off too them?? Looking to get my painted and dont really no how to do it tbh.. anyone no some1 who does or give any tips how i could do it myself Cheers Guys

so if i got pistons from the 4efte for example and put them into my 4efe i would see an improvement in power?? or response? whats best place to get them from, is it the glanza?

What advantage does changing your pistons gain? Is it as beneficial as changing cams?? Thanks.

Yh depending on how much cams are and installin them are i will be looking to map it after camming it anyway try and get that bhp raised into 3 figures haha ah right and what are billet cams mate??

No idea mate.. dont think so. I dont really no much about the engine side of the car but i think u can cam it without mapping.. but mapping after maybe makes the cams more effective? hmm im sure some1 knows

@ Enzo - Yh cool mate i will look out for them.. i got the cash just want the best ones really that are going to give me some propa power! haha @ Robsr - Yh it be nice to see what kind of power an NA cud put out without doing the turbo conversion and that.. what are billets mate??

Ive heard 'camming' your car can help power of it hugely! I have a 1.3 SR and just wondering if people know of what cams i should be looking out for if i am to get this cammed. And who would be able to put them in for me?? Thanks Guys

Im also looking into buying a power boost valve for my Sr mate so let us know how much difference it does make Does the car need to be mapped after installin the valve in order to gain the max potential from it?? -
I might be interested in this aswell mate if u can supply this sorta thing... lookin to turn my sr into a glanza replica... how much am i lookin at for side skirts My SR is silver so its good u got it in silver already ;)

Yeah i already have a corolla mani in my garage waitin to go on ;) and a straight through exhaust so must be pushing about 80-85 bhp right? cheers tho will have a lil mooch around the technical section see if can get some info on it

Got an SR 1.3, going to give it a good service and new oil and that then i want to get my SR producing more than 100bhp. Is it possible to get an SR over 100bhp? and if so what do i need to do to get this sorta power from a small engine would appreciate any comments ;)

cheers mate. I already have an air filter, straight through exhaust and corolla mani on it so mayb cud look into an ecu... what does gettin a new one do? and you recon i shud get a piggyback one or jus a glanza one?

I dont really no how much bhp my sr has but im interested in what difference your Microtech LT-8 ECU made mate or what difference any different ECU can make, because might have to look into changing mine if it brings good possibilties of higher break.

ah thas a shame, i fink jus going to have to ring sum companies up n see what happens... who knows may get lucky, i really want one so maybe if i can find one cheap then i can have more money available for insurance
