make sure its not the ariel for the alarm if you short it to earth it can kill it

they will be banks of earth like on any car one or two will be in the boot behind plastics near one or both lights, check both foot wells below the A pillars defo near the fusebox and one near the fusebox in the engine bay plus all engine earths gearbox, near starter one to the head and alternator.

make sure none of the wires have pulled out of the small multi pin plug that goes in the rear of the unit and the larger ISO plug that plug into the cars loom, the wire might not of come out completely though. All the pins should be at the same hight in both plugs.

when you said you changed the fuse did you change on in car or one on the rear of the head unit

its bust mate if others work in its place

yeh black one was standard with white wheels but high mileage at 150,000 km and he wanted 3800 for that one i just walked away was not impressed at all with the company when i was asking about the silver one he found it very hard to answer me kept poping into the office to ask someone else oh i'm from middleton (proper nice place lol)

I've now looked at 4 Vs two were aload of turd this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT guy had a black one to but the silver was really dodgy, looked clocked (clock said 88,000km) the steering wheel well worn out and drivers seat, but all mods were bodged, fmic had only been attached to just the bumper, lamba had all wire cut off (4 wires) bolt snaped in the manny to the turbo did have a screemer though, he wanted £4400 for it, be warned people. but anyway my question is do only some Vs come with a center belt on rear seat or are they added by some owners as out of all 4 Vs only one had the center belt but it looked factory.

yeh i dont mind but its a fair trek for ya but if you dont sort it i'm happy looking souldn't take long to find the prob as side lights are a simple circuit

yeh check fuses mate first off the check earths, as of the note change on the engine the side lights shouldn't be noticable as they dont put that much load on the engine/alt were about are you could pos help out

sooperd yes i can, quote of just short of £700 not bad i thought but i've full no claims and 28 so i'm past that age were they say no! car was clean inside and out other than a few stone chips and scuffs on the front lip right on the corners plus the seat bolsters nothing that cant be sorted plus might be able to knock him down abit it will need a cat 1 but i can do that np. thanks for the replys everyone think i'll just tell the wife she cant drive it lol then she cant complain about the ride.

thanx jay, i think i will go back if the guy registers it in a decent time frame, the seat bolsters were the same on both side really deflated and misshaped but the cloth wasnt ripped or worn out i'll have to find a good used one if i buy it

just from a search on this forum i found that on low boost its 6psi on high boost is 9psi standard, fc kicks in at 12.5psi so I can only guess that the standard ecu can advance ignition and inject enought fuel up to 12psi so thats 3 pounds of boost per square inch of air extra in the cylinders which is a fair bit not sure how much hp you'll gain but you'll be able to tell the difference please someone correct me if i'm wrong. Any increase in boost will reduce the life of your turbo and engine especially if the fuel air mixture is wrong

forgot to say as well the drivers seat bolsters looked all deflated is the normal or is it a sign of high mileage abuse thanks guys/gals

I'm new, I dont even own a starlet yet but am looking been to see this one today http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT it had 88k, BOV, lowered 2.25" exhaust staight with ss backbox not a diy job rear dampers had and aduster on them and a TRD sticker but fronts looked standard good tires and clean unmarked wheels i checked usual stuff oil water leaks oil was clean water was pink? and it was dry underneth looked for smoke on start up. now heres my question it wasnt registered yet and guy said it will be done moted and tax / service by next week but he hadn't even sent the docs off to register it yet is it really that quick to register an import, plus i couldnt drive it because of this. mow it looked really low uncomfy low but cant tell till i drive it, if its to hard what are my options if i do buy it and how hard are they to change thank.
