I know what you mean when we were out there we saw one of the bridges being painted they get indian s to jusy hang by ropes from the bridge to pain them and they get paid squat!!! Its not bad if your western educated you can get a pretty good well paid job really easily but if your a local its garbage!! Its still well worth a visit!!

Great piccies Geo, The memories!!!! dubai and abu dhabi ;) i think were going back out later in the year (the misus mum and step dad live out there). The Flat bit that sticks out on the back of the burj is a restraunt you get some grat view form there!! Its where i took this from!! did you go for a drive on the palms?? i found it so underwelming it only looks god from the air when your actualy on it it feels the same as everwhere else!! Is the last piccie of the fountain outside the emirates palace hotel?? looks like it but if it is those buildings have gone up speedy fast in the back ground. I cant wait to go back!! The worst bit about it Geo although Dubai generates so much money from oil at the mo the reason theyre making it such a tourist destination is because there oil is running out fast but abu dhabi has go so much more oil thay dubai and from visiting both you would never belive it!!

Hey guys it looks like john is gettin loads of support from the JAE forum members, it looks like there all pulling together and trying to make it happen!! As per usual i will kepp an eye on the matter and update as things unfold but it though it was only fair to let you guys know what was happening!! Fingers crossed it WILL happen ;)

I Just wanted to update the mebers on the small matter iof JAE 2008. I know there have been rumour circulating other forums that JAE 2008 isnt happening and for those who have heard these i would like to clear up that matter and set the record straight. There has been lots of enquireies as to when and where this years JAE was going to be held i hope the following helps to clarify the confusion!! This statement was released earlier today by John onw of the JAE organisers!! followed earlier tonight with a statment from Claire the other main organiser!! if anyone would like any more information you can view the JAE forums www.japcarclub.com/jae/forums or post here!!! I have heard from three seperate people that the mintex 1144 are a really good pad but mainly for track days they are dificult to keep up to temp during normal driving and give skitish braking while cold!!!

Happy New year guys and gals!!!! I've not been on much over the past month or so with work and a brief spell in hospital over the holiday period but i hope every one had a good one!!! The past year has been a pretty slow and boring on for me not really done much to the car still got a few bits ain the pipeline for this year though. Work has really started to get boring!!! JAE2007 however did see me making new friends phil and mark (nanglebadger and bro) and nath and alex (starletnath and his wife) and loads more along the way. Thois was prob th highlight of my year and i hope to meet some more great friends at JAE2008. Looking forward to 2008 i hope to make this a better year am now on the look out for a new job and will be looking at buying a house at some point over the next 12 months. As for the car we will just have to wait and see!!! All the best for all UKSC members new and old!!! Rob

I would think any local body shop would be able to sort this for you mate the other option is to use pinstripe tape or motorbike rim tapes they give a similar look aren't permanent are easily replacable and if you get bored of the colour you just peel it off. i did mine this way and i know a few other guys have done the same!!! Hope that helps
