My sensor plug is kinda broken (dosnt fit to well) could that be the problem?

Sits at zero as If the gauge isn't actual working, but it's lit up

Startled my car yesterday and the oil pressure gauge is flashing non stop, the gauge is a depo gauge.. All wired up correctly.. Engine is a 5e forged and hasn't even been run in yet, new oil pump etc.. Any one know what it could be?
