  1. you could be right (0.68 bar) i was always told 0.8 but i havnt had it long. youll be able to tell in second if its uprated, the metal shaft will have a long threaded peice on it and a nut on that at some point. the eml would flash just before fuel cut..
  2. lol. true, hopefully itll be that. will give it a bash. gota member form here picking up some alloys now so ill get him int car and see what he reckons.....
  3. it boost at 0.8 standard. id do abit of research before you just wack the boost up, theres other bits and peices you need first to turn it up safely, (im in the process of sourcing all these parts) guys recomened me to get, manifold, de-cat, uprated actuator, fmic, boost controller, boost gauge, decent bov, then either fcd, (which was highly disputed) or proper one was a emanage blue tos ort out the fueling. u dont wana fry sumit by just winding up the boost.
  4. its not really a judder to be honest mate, it runs smooth, theres just a creek noise, like when u step on a floorboard. ive been reading shit on the net for ages, found a few posts from toyota owners and a couple of strarlet owners, its all pointing to this clutch release arm, or bearing that arnt lubed up any more. or the mech behind the pedals, (hope its the 2nd choice) ill check out the pedals first, then trace the cable back, if it aint that, im juts gona get the clutch done and get him to lube up the release arm. aparently form what other guys were saying you can get to the arm and relube
  5. just read on a mg website (no surprise there then) lol. hes describing the same sorta thing as me, hes been told that its the clutch release arm, or the bit that attachs to the back of the clutch pedal in car. it solunds like a nosie from the drivers footwell and the area i described before.
  6. been to garage today, he check all the pipe work for me, says theres no splits in any of the pipes. he rekons it could be the ind kit thats nakerd, also the pipes are very soft he said could be that, so to replace them for silicon jobbies. so... were do i get all the inlet pipes from in silicon or is a case of measuring them up and ordering the apropriate bits from ebay? whic pipes would u suggest replacing too?
  7. its nto a curb, its just a slight rise, about 10mm. if you chuck it int lines it pokes to far into the road for my liking.lol.
  8. right its been in my mates garage all day, he didnt get a massive amount of time to look at it, but the squeek i may have mis diagnosed, its more like a creek noise.lol. just sat in it with the handbrake pulled right on, with the clutch and acc' hit biting point so the back squats down and it makes the noise when hitting biting point, let off tried again and same thing... my mechanic said that the clutch is just starting to slip when at highest rpm, so my question is could this noise be connected to the clutch in some way? if i could try pin point were its coming from id say, between th
  9. yep, pretty sure it aint a belt, the alt belt is making a little squeek anyways, barely noticable tho. hopefully the garage will sort it tomrow.
  10. ahh sounds similar to the water and fairy liqiud idea. im giving to the garage tomorow so they can sort it. its mekin another squeeky noise now. one i think im beign paranoid about tho. think it might just be interior plastics.lol.
  11. i just sat on the wings and jumped up and down and theres a distinctive squeek coming from the suspension, i thort it was th drinks holder as it sounds as if its coming from that. its in the garage tomorow to try find my air leak so will take them out and see if he can work it out. any other ideas would be greatly appreciated tho.
  12. hey, right, theres a strange noise coming from somewere, not sure wer tho, it makes it worse when setting off from a stand still. when on full lock and pulling away. but it sounds as if its inside the car in the footwell somewere, or as close to the back of the engine bay as you can get, (if it was in the bay,) it sounds like plastic squeeking rather than letal. i had springs put on last week, and an anti lift kit. i had the tracking re checked today as the steering wheel was just off centre. any ideas? im pretty sure im being paranoid., lol.
  13. cool. right im on the same track now i think, the black plastic pipe that comes up to the top left of engine,
  14. sorry im not being much use here as i dont know which way the flang is sat.lol. i need to be stood infront of bumper right, is it gona b easier from underneath or stood above it. again apologies for my stupidity.
  15. cool. im trying to find a place thatll do the check for me, my mechanics mobiles off at the min tho, when you say its out, by how much, am i talking mm or ..
  16. ahh, cool. looks like a ballache but ill give it a go, lol. cool. ill have a look at the flange then, form above or below???
  17. i can hear it,lol. i wana know were its coming from.
  18. hey guys, right my boost has been a bit up and down the last few days since i had aproblem with the spark plugs, diferent issue, basically i want to know a easy way to check for leaks, did some googling and a guy posted that if you mix water and fairy liquid then spray/spritz this on manifold, were the bov connects to the hose, etc etc when its reved the bits that are leaking will bubble up because of the fairy liquid. not massivly sure on wether this is a great idea as if theres a big hole i dont want fairy liquid leaking in.lol. so anyone else got any ways of checking? also some one tol
  19. whiteline 40mm, think there still bedding in to be honest, nt dun many miles since i had it done, n not had anyone 'large' in the back, lol.
  20. cool. will have a try later, what should i block other hole off with? or should i try putting origional bov back on to give it a go,
  21. hey guys heres the pics everyones so desperate for, lol. sorry i didnt clean it first though, too cold. eyebrows.. lowered... shiney!!! splitter to go on next, gna sand that later on, then arb, tint the back three windows, then see about getting the ecu...
  22. hhow cum it was them that made it loose allt he power at the begining then? you know when it went right down to 0.6 bar. changed the plugs and dried it out and the boost went back to nearly normal yesterday? it wasnt making that noise either when i was in it before, hopefully were having a meet at castleford in a couple of weeks so ill get someone to have a look over it then, only othere little bit of info ive got, the screw on top of my bov had a nut on it that you tightened down to keep screw in the right place. somehow that has come loose and the bolts has spun off just leaving the screw
