out of intrest, just looking in to oils, http://www.castrol.com/castrol/iframe.do?c...ntentId=7044829 anyone know about these oils? thinking of going for the edge one, you reckon 0w40 is a good recomendation? also that reckons to change every 9000miles or 12months.

what oil do all you guys use? i want something decent, ive spent last half hour reading posts but noone states and names?? also, is that oil filter cup specific to glanza oil filters or a universal size??? cheers guys.

yep, ive had it happen 3 times in a week now, keep forgetting to leave the handbrake off, spoke to a mate who used to rally driving, he said, use de-icer, worked a treat.

ha, nice micky. naa it had a induction kit on when i bought it, hks mushroom one. looking a bit tired now though, might look into replacing it. as long as shes not going to blow up or anything daft im not bothered by the noise. when i fit the tmic ill check all the hoses.

hey, yep got a boost gauge and avcr, yep it reaches just under 12psi, and .80bar.

not yet, the inlet from the tubo end (not throttle bodie) is way too long, either need to get 180* hose, or cut about 5inch off it, think ill cut it because itll fit perfectly then. any other ideas?

hey, just read up some of the stuff on the turbo tech section. its whislteing when accelerating, from what ive read its an air leak, what should i be checking? rubber hoses? were there clipped etc? is there a commen hose that makes it do this. its not bothering me but id rather have it spot on. cheers, Chris

hey, what are the standard alloys worth? all tyres are in good nick, two of them have brand new kumho ecsta ku31 tyres on. alloys are in fairly good condition with age etc. cheers.

little update, changed the thermostat and flushed the coolant, it had the blue coolant in before. a word of warnind dont try syphon the fluid form the coolant bottle, it tastes disgusting,lol. i got the spray part from a bottle of flash. worked a treat. tried to change the suspension but i coudlnt get the nut that holds the strut together loose, tried everything, so old stuff had to go back on, my rear driver shock is leaking aswell so need a new one of them. tried to fit my rx7 tmic, couldnt, im gone need to get inventive with some silicon hose im afraid, fitted my new alpine headunit

when you fitted your eyebrows di you take the lights out? i tried fitting mine last week with lights and they didnt seem to fit very well. i know the build quality wont be great, (ebay-hong kong)

ahhh right, one of the screws was very long actually, dont think it was the correct screw, ill wind it out then, whys that then? becasue its shorting because its touching the metal of the actuall headunit, not just its cage?

will do, the interior light isnt working either now, also on the fuse box in the footwell. if you think of it as a grid 123 456 789 abc b is ment to have a 5amp fuse in it, 8 is empty. theres no fuse in b. ill obevoeusly put one in now but i wonder why it didnt have one in the first place?

summit def shorted yesterday when putting head unit in because my clock read 3.00 at 7.30 this morning. (3 was the time i tried to fit unit. fuse im guessing??? the ones in footwell or under onnet do ya think?

ive got that already luke, i bought the lead that goes from the headunit into the power/speaker blocks. ill have another look tomorow because the blocks arnt a great fit, so ill give them a real good push.

to be honest, ive never just turned it over two clicks with firing the engine so nope,lol. bit pissed off the headunits not fucking working, dont understand why the wiring harness wouldnt work? must just be because its shit, finding it very dificult to find a alpine one though, halfords are beign useles.. and theres no genuine ones on ebay, cant find anythign on alpine website or google?

just changed the headunit in my car, used a wiring harness from ebay, put it all in turned key, made a little noise, the headunit never worked??? dunno y? probs because it was a shit harness. but now when you turn the key two clicks (not so it fires) after about 3 seconds, it makes a wierd electrical noise for a second, opend the bonnet and it sounds like its coming from the left hand side of the engine bay? any ideas? have i blown a fuse in something???

niceone micky, have you got you tmic fitted yet? im still waiting on my plug, im unsure wether itll fit though as the fitting holes dont look in the right place? the post said it woulkd though so we will see.
