  1. right then guys, shall we have a definate number put down to see wether its worth doing this. 1.chris
  2. right. been out, checked, went for petrol and........... its fine?gave it full boost in 1st,2nd,3rd and it hit 0.85 bar in all gears. maybe it was still a little moisture in the spark plug hole causing that noise somehow and slight loss in power. yey, happy again.
  3. mines giota hks actuator on too,, cool ill leave the vac lines as they are then,. will go out no and see if i can spot any loose pipes again. the noise i was talking about earlier in the post, the one abit like when you tune a radio low donw in the revs and pulling away mostly, osounds like its coming from around the area of the inlet maifold, could it be vibration or leak through that, ill go have a look and see what i can see now.
  4. got an apexi boost controller on it, right so disregarding the pipe on the solenoid as thats not a problem from wat you guys say. should i connet the other pipe back to the plug near the cam cover??? yellow arrows on botom pic. still no closer as to why its not quite hitting the normal boost. must be leak somewere, anyways i can check for a leak?? which pipes are most likly to cause a leak?
  5. hmmm, since replacing the plugs its nearly gained all the power back, just about 0.08 bar short of normal now, just wondering wether to put this pipe back wer its mena be or wat? previous owner obveously blocked it off for a reason though? because he was a plank perhaps?
  6. that pic is from someones elses car, botom A was just were the end of the thin pipe was strapd to (top A) were the yellow arrow starts is the end that has been taken off, and its strapd onto the thick pipe were the head of the arrow is, point C is the open end near the cam cover, on mine that is just open at the mo, nothing on it? and the pipe thats mena b there has a blanking plug in, hope thats abit clearer.
  7. ha, they are the vacum hoses arnt they,lol. next question, why are they like that? why has it been running fine without them in place? n y wont it boost as high as y'day. oooo getting annoyed now.
  8. hey , was reading through some stuff on google, came accross a post on gtturbo site, bowt a guy who had no boost in2nd, anyways, heres the pic this guy put up ont site, if you look at the top A, that end of the rubber pipe has been taken off and cable tied to the the big pipe at the botom A. and a blanking plug put in the end of that pipe, leaving the little metal opening on the block open and nowt on it??? then the pipe at letter b. just isnt even there at all? just two open stems, im guessing this aint right, but to be honest my car was fine yesterday morning and it was the same then

  10. checkd the intercooler pipes yep, ive had the i.c off about 4times today checking spark plugs and stuff, sorry to be retard but weres the vac lines?
  11. whiteline springs are absolutly awsum!!! ive got just them on standard shocks at the minute and its like its on rails!!! expensive though, i got a great deal tho.
  12. right, changed the plugs to ngk iridium (platinum) plugs, ticks over beautifully, really smooth, powers back, alls well, just one little thing, its boosting to 0.78 bar now, yesterday before the trouble it was boosting to 0.88, which was too much but thats a difrerent story, do you reckon itll be the leads that need changing to cure that, im getting a crackly noise inside the car, bit like when you try and tune a radio, not all the time, just when setting off and low revs really, read sumit on another guys post and someone said, nakerd ht leads can make a interference noise. so next questio
  13. right just checked all the pipes and stuff, all intact, took of the i.c checked the plugs, the 2nd one in from the right, the stalk on the lead was wet, the botom bit closest to the plug was a rusty browny color, cleaned and dried the hole out, put it all back together and its better but still not quite right, it boosts to just ovber 0.7 bar, so its an improvement but not right, would this suggest the plug is nakerd or that its still just abit wet?? cheers.
  14. if there is water down there, how would i go about getting it out? and would the spark plugs be buggered if they are wet? im guessing/hoping it is that, i changed the tmic to a rx7 one last week, and ther x7 one uncovers alot of the left side if the engine blockl maybe the water has leaked to the plugs on that side,

  18. turbo shaft? wer am i looking for that and wat am i checking for? will check all the other pipes tomorow, changed the dump valve 4weeks ago and the pipe was fine then so doubt its that.

  22. hey, just set off home and somit is up with the glanza, it felt very sluggish, on tick over *(stood still) its very lumpy, boobing between 500-1k revs. it feels like driving through glue, the cars holding back when your pressing accelerator, little like driving with the brakes on, theres just no power when boost kicks in. i put my foot into the carpet to check what its boosting to, the most it made was 0.63bar. when i parked up and reved it the exhaust made a low quiet poping noise when the revs settled, theres no engine management light on so i have no idea? is it the turbo, or a mis
