This has apparently just started happening on my starlet exactly as you describe. That's if I trust the girlfriends long distance diagnosis lol. I'll get to have a proper look on Monday. Any ideas?

Well it set my girlfriend back about £1200 a year ago but as she was in Australia I decided to 'borrow' it. Except shes not having it back Brad, I am a student at Plymouth so live in Halls but that is only until 16th May then I'm back in Bath till September. In terms of mods i'm looking at clear lenses and some speedlines at some point. Priority for Summer is keeping the car alive for the trip. Needs new brake pads and 2 new tyres. Maybe a clutch by the end of the trip. Anyone got any info regarding changing the clutch on a starlet. Easy??? If I can;t do it myself, is it expensive for me to get a garage to do? I love this forum, everyone is so friendly

It has finally happened! My lovely little starlet is clean and on the driveway. Have a little look at the pics below. Doing a European roadtrip ending in Croatia in September with the girlfriend so wanting to maintain cash and comfort until then but i'm sure modding will inevitably take place!!! Hope you guys like him. (already named 'John' due to the number plate because I'm lame :-p)

Ryan, I would love to get myself a turbo but will probs be an n/a for now due to uni and insurance cost. Also, there is a possibility of a FREE 1998 n/a within the next 2 weeks. I know the car is sound because I chose it for my gf but she's fucking off to Australia for a bit. I'm tempted to 'borrow' it for a while

This is some intense conversation. I believe a lot is changing in the world but I do not in any way link it with the year 2012 or ancient prophecies etc. We just happen to be at a point in time in which a lot of changes appear to be happening. TBH, every generation thinks they are at the turning point in the world/life etc. We are not neccessarilly that important lol
