  8. Hi mate welcome to the site, don't know what your starlet is worth but it looks smart. Would you consider selling your alloys if you do decide to sell it?
  9. That would be no good to me then would it if i have just put a trd one on?
  10. Whats it look like? you got any pics? once the aircon goes the next change will be simple because i am removing the aircon pump bracket aswell which makes it hard to get a filter remover in to it.
  11. Yeah i felt like that aswell, i had the car up on my uncles ramps when i done it so it wasn't that bad. Have ordered a smaller belt from the toyota dealer so i can remove the aircon when that comes ;) and have ordered a new rocker cover gasket so i can paint that aswell. The alloys are on hold for a few weeks because i had to use the money for them to fit an alarm! fucking chavas
  12. At least the next time i change it i know what to do now so it should only take about half an hour.
  13. Its easy enough when the aircon pump is out of your way. I was using a strap which is attached to a socket, and then you use your rachet to tighten the strap untill the filter becomes loose. Well i am going out on the piss now, so happy new year to every one and i hope you all have a good night speak to you in 2007 jon.
  14. Well i have just finished changing the oil on my starlet, i started at 12.00! what a bastard it was. First of all i played hide and seek with the oil filter for about half an hour until i gave up looking and come on here and found out where it was. After that i took of my bov ant tried to take the intake pipe off from the turbo to tryand get my hand to it, but that didn't work. Then after about 3 hours i worked out if i undone the 4 bolts which hold the aircon pump in place and the 2 bolts which hold the aircon bracket in place you can get your hands in to unscrew it! finally 4 hours later all
  15. Have already tried hitting it back in and it didn't move. Will try hitting it harder in the morning when i change the oil and paint the rocker cover. cheers everyone jon.
  16. The inside is threaded for the bolt which holded the old re-circulating bov but the outside has loads of little spikes on it to keep it in place. I have tried screwing it back in but it won't move and i can't take it out as i need it to screw the metal plate in place which holds the cover which fills the hole . You can just about see it in this pic.
  17. Hi i need some help, when i fitted my sard bov i took the standard one off. But when i came ti fit the plug to cover up the hole where the old bov was fitted i noticed that the brass fixing was sticking up. I am not sure if i have pulled this up by tightening the bolt up too much or weather it is supposed to be like this? when i tried to refit my standard one it wont go far enough into the hole to make an air tight seal!! can anyone help? cheers jon.
  18. Hi mate welcome to the site, i would def agree with toymota about Keighley Trade Centre i went there to look at a few gt's and the man who lived out the back of them warned me not to buy any cars that were parked outside in the forcourt as they were all accident damaged! i got mine from wrc car sales in bradford and seemed like good people and had a good selection af gt's and glanza v's'
  19. thanks will give it a try, have just got an email back from rhdjapan and it will cost £94.72 delivered but they won't be able to ship it till mid janruary because they are closed for a few weeks. So def going to order one.
  20. The strut brace is £63 from zep racing but i have asked the people at rhdjapan how much it would cost for them to get it for me and ship it, just waiting for them to reply. they have some nice bodykits and grp front wings, i think the wings worked out about £170 each before shipping. Wish i could understand japanese lol
  21. While trying to find out how much a 3 point rear strut brace is coing to cost me i found this starlet pick up on their website as one of there demo cars.
  22. cheers i think i will go for with 15's, see what deals they have on on boxing day. Do you know if the cusco lower strut brace will fit on the back of the starlet aswell?
  23. thanks i am going to wait until the boxing day sales to get my wheels as i am going to see if i can get the car booked in for a rolling road session to make sure everything is ok, as it is only boosting to 0.6 on full boost.
