I should have check compression ect... Just a mistake on my part for trusting Robs word. Can only blame myself really! I just trust people too much! Usually it's fine as most people are honest and not out to mug you off! Obviously rob isn't one of them people! It's been run un-mapped I think. Over fuelled massively and melted the top of the pistons! Or been starved of oil... No way of saving the engine! I'll upload a video of it running from yesterday! -

I've sent him the pictures and he's saying that because I've had the engine for a few months that I must have done it!! Clearly I haven't and i've only just got round to trying to start it! He's run that un-mapped to cause that kind of damage! -

Yeah man, had a few people message me and say the exact same thing! Obviously I haven't been on the starlet scene for that long and he seemed like a trusted lad on here! Just makes me wonder what was wrong with that RX7 he sold too! Not much I can do really to get my £1300 back which sucks :/ -

Block & head are too far gone to be saved. Think the rods are ok but won't know until I strip it down. So I'll have to source a new engine and start from scratch really. -

Paid £1300 for the engine! Trusted Robs word as he said it was all running fine.... Spent £350 paying my mate to replace the pump and diagnose the problem. And then numerous hours trying to get oil pressure ect. Turned out to be a right nightmare! -

Well today I found the problem with the engine Rob Ebbs sold me... Every piston is well and truly fucked!!! I thought Rob was a trusted member of this forum but obviously I was very wrong! I'm not going to give up though and will try source a bottom end and rebuild it! -
Sorry to hear this man, never nice to loose a car! RIP!

Yeah I know I should of changed it! Mistake on my part and now I'm paying for it! I think the problem goes further than just the oil pump being damaged tbh! My mate did inspect the bearings but said they look ok along with the crank. But something must be up for metal to get into the sump and damage the pump! But he's going to put it all back together and we'll see if that sorts the oil pressure problem and I'll do a oil change after a few hundred miles and see how it looks! If it lasts that long! -

Well I wrote the last post in advance of the news from Luke at the garage thinking the bearings would be fucked! But after inspection he said they look ok. So could just be the pump! He's putting it back together tomorrow and we'll see what happens! -
I've ordered a new oil pump, so i'll get that changed and then do a few oil changes to see if the problem re-occurs! Thanks
-
So as most of you know i have been having problems getting oil pressure. I dropped my car off at a mates garage and he removed the sump to find some small particles of mental in there. He then removed the oil pump and found some nasty scoring on it. He then removed the big end bearings but they look ok and so does the crank. What else could cause some small bits of metal in the sump? Cheers, Charlie

Well it just gets worse.... When Luke removed the oil pump he noticed some scoring on the pump and ordered me a new one. While he had the sump off he checked the bearings and there fuc***! I'm not 100% sure of the extent of the damage yet, but its not looking good! Word of advice.... never trust anyone even if they are a trusted member on the forum and have been on here for years! So once i find out the extent of the damage i will decide what the best plan of action is, but im royally pissed off atm -

Cheers Lads, I'm hoping the damaged cause to the pump was my own doing when i was trying to get oil pressure. But Luke's going to give the engine a good looking over! Booked in for mapping at TD on the 7th Feb so hopefully i can still make that! -

Right, got a phone call from Luke yesterday to let me know that he's found the source of the problem with my car. The oil pump is shagged and he's ordered a new one for me. He is going to inspect bearings ect too to make sure it hasn't caused any other problems. Fingers crossed i'll have it back towards the end of the week and it can go for mapping straight away! -
Kavos and Zante are both mental places! Zante has more stuff to do during the day! Take a walk to the private island where they hold the white party! Wicked to chill out there during the day!
-
If your planning to go Zante, stay in Savvas! Its £80 for a week, and is basic accommodation but does if your just going to get smashed all day! Plus its right at the top of the strip so you work you way down during the night and end up in Cherry Bay which is on the beach! Plus you don't get charged for bringing girls back or anything like that!! But if your wanting something a little more upmarket then stay at Majestic Spa Hotel which is in the middle of the strip!

Yeah, Kos should have a bit of nightlife and decent weather
