having problems with my avcr its was set up to run a 1.1 bar at 50% duty with a ext wastegate was running fine till i drove it last night it would only make .7 bar so i checked all the vac lines and checked for boost leaks and found nothing so i turned the duty up to 90% and it only made 1.2 bar would i be right in saying the solinoid is playing up?? cheers jay

yep they are useless they sent me out to sets of cams aswell that didnt shim up

yeh still a jd i dont think its warped but im gonna check today so it there to types of oil pump then??

tryed twice now to seal the oil pump its brand new any ideas why it could be leaking?

already spoke to them and they said it would be about £10 to send it to btn turbos i think its called cheers anyway fella

i can give to unipart basingstoke if i want to send it off mate they proberly deal with the same companys

cheers dane i dont think it was anyones intension to sell a faulty turbo like you said you have your reps on the line just wanna know how it got damaged???

i never broke it mate because i never used you cant score the bearings and damage the seals by leaving it sitting for 4months. uni turbos rang the garage and explained the damage to them, so i have asked them to sent a written report back with the turbo.

its been sat in a workshop for the whole time, now really cant see anypoint in sending it off to anyone else because it wont resolve anything i will still be out of pocket, but i have learnt my lesson from buying second hand parts off forums now, and i know if i ever sell a turbo on here i am gonna get it checked first and get a report done on it so the buyer knows what wrong with it.

i will send it to you fella if work hasnt all ready began on it. right im off so i will pm you 2moz about half 5ish to let you know wots going on with the turbo
