well details are sketchy at mo i know 70 percent of the course is classroom work but i don't care from what else i understand is we build and prep a rally car and a single seater race car which we then use on track. sounds like if you do that course idrees you will be making serious cash with that good luck mate

Exactly my thoughts mate as you know yourself for me to get an apprenticeship i'd be competing with young guys who bosses can give shit wages to so i have next to no-chance so i just said f**k it go for it and so far paying off as my goal is once finished i'm planning on moving to australia near family over there.

Thanks Shelly Cheers sparky and yes not swansea as i went back to west of scotland and they showed me the new workshop facillities they have and its unbelievable and they have a driving simulator to teach students to drive on track as the uni enters a competition with other uni's you may know of it lew in which they build and prep a race car and one student drives it on track. Yep would you believe a working class bum like me got accepted into motorsport engineering at west of scotland uni :( cannot tell you how excited i am, going through a range of emotions about it just now mostly relief though got a conditional pass providing i pass level 3 in my mechanics course which i completed today ;) and show proof that i've enrolled into a higher maths course as my maths is shocking and i was the type of person at school that arsed about slagging teachers and just being a knob really lol as you do lol. Anyone else get accepted into uni recently ?

sorry to hear all thats happened to everybody on here as i have nothing but good things to say about toby. i needed custom shims made up my local engineers wanted £20 per shim toby came through for me got them made up (a service that he don't normally provide unless building an engine himself) at £5 per shim legend took his time in getting them to me right enough lol but this was only like a month ago. so some good from the bad, i just hope he sorts everybody else out and gets back on track as he did offer an outstanding service before. colin

Update as requested ^ lol for those of you that are observant enough will see that cylinder 4 is down and the other 3 are up well the other 3 were put in today the other one was done a few weeks back and i then bent an oil control ring I asked one of the traders to source me one but unfortunately he couldn't get me it as soon as i needed it and i found out that the european branch for wiseco was in holland and fellow member and excellent guy rico w managed to source me one of their retailers in holland and got me the replacements THANK YOU RICO so in the pics above the conrods

What i think wullie is saying is there is water pumped underneath the mani to give some heat to air entering the chamber. like in some corsas you see a pipe coming from the exhaust mani to the induction box to give heat to the air entering the chamber for better cold starts. The water isn't obviously entering the inlet mani ports but it does go to the inlet and conducts the heat in the chambers.
