All good saying that still alot of money to me but its not really the money thats pissing me off well that don't help its the amount of hours out working on it (over 2 years) to be so close to getting it on the road to then find i'm having to pull it apart again.

well most folk know my gt has been off the road nearly 2 years come april as been doing a forge rebuild went out today to do last minute checks to the gt for its mot tomorrow noticed a bit of blue smoke from tail pipe checked the oil and the oil is a little emulsified totally gutted as in honesty i think i've spent probs over 2k on that engine and i was scrimping and saving to do it and i'm just seriously pissed off now put so much work into that engine and passed few months i've been getting real sick of it and thinking is it worth it and now i need to take it apart again don't know if i even

i'm so jdm my heart valve is carbon you need to get that made up into a sticker lol.

Rob i love you , i had a wiring nightmare to deal with my rear lights, rear fog, speedo and rev were not working i sorted them out, and all i had to do today was fix my indicators, and all day i struggled to find what was wrong, and all it was was because i never had the hazard plugged in when working on it lol Thank you mate Colin

Good Luck mate my dad got his aortic valve replaced about a year or 2 ago was given the choice of a mechanical one like yours or a pigs one and i believe one of them your not allowed to have a drink with i honestly can't remember which one it was he went for lol. prepared to be a bit confused after the op as my dad was it messes with your head for a few days but you'll be ok after and back to normal. as said mate good luck Colin

As said sorry guys i know this is the wrong section but need a quick reply to this question for working on the gt tomorrow. does the dash lights in the gt run from the same fuse as the rear tail light ? as they both are out ?

At the mo i'm i've got Lucas 0w 40 synthetic oil in the gt but i want to find a good mineral break in oil if anyone knows anywhere good to get some .

thats why i put this up as i was seriously considering using the old one as its mint nothing wrong with it but wasn't sure if it would come out again or not was gonna put some silicone sealer on it if i was gonna use it, but i've ordered a new one from toyota now anyway so i'll wait for that but cheers rob .

Right guys was finishing up the gt after the fucking water pump had frozen causing the alternator belt to snap. so i've sorted that out and fitted new belt etc and was putting the anti freeze in and after a bit i just heard it all running back out again was like shit so went under to see where it was leaking check to see if the water pump was sealed properly its fine noticed that the antifreeze seemed to be coming out from behind the cam belt cover so got it off to notice that with the water pump and the block being frozen it popped the core plug out there (very fucking lucky that was all

the water pump runs off the alternator and crank pulley . its just below the inlet next to cam cover.

pull the thermostat out throw it in a cup of hot water see if it opens up. Also give the coolant temp sensor a look over is the temp gauge rising at all ? check the motor on the fan could be the motor has gone just run a feed direct from the battery to check that its ok.

no its ok, can't see how your boss's would've done that damage without him running it (think he's telling you fibs lol) as thats the point in core plugs when if theres no anti-freeze in the system as you said it freezes and expands pushing out the core plugs if it needs to to expand. but i've pulled the water pump and hoses off and unfroze them just need to wait and thaw it out, as if i chance running hot water through it that could crack the head and block, so i've got an even further wait now.

Dont get me started about the weather my gt is in the garage its ready for its mot but can't take it as the block is forzen water pump was frozen solid snapping the alternator belt and the thermostat was just a block of ice i now have to wait on the fucking thing thawing out which could take a long time with the current weather, and to be honest with yous i'm getting pissed off with the thing spent a fortune on it in the past 2 years i'm getting very close to getting it on road and selling it. colin.
