  4. Mines been doin this pretty much ever since i took out the aircon to fit my fmic a few weeks ago, got a new alternator belt and gonna fit it this weekend hoping it will cure the problem, i've read on other threads about how if its not dealt with it can go snap and cause some big damage so playing it safe
  5. I see yeah, thats a great idea thanks for the pics micky, i'll give it a go at the weekend, its not an urgent thing but its just one of those things that i know isnt right and im sure because its not tight its casuing a leak, also ordered a new gasket for it as the one on it is old and had it. cheers for the replies people
  6. Anyone got any ideas on this please as im sure its leaking becase of this, a few months ago when fitting a new fmic, one of the 2 bolts that holds the inlet pipe to the turbo is knackered, when taking it off most of the actual thread came off inside the the nut, now my intercooler is only connected to the turbo with 1 bolt and even though that is tight as it can go the other side isnt and i think i might be losing pressure from this??? Is there a way to get the bolt out of the turbo side and can you get replacements?
  7. Ok, so last night i took the car to the garage... and they wanted to do a caliper rebuild on them?! so i took it home, made a cup of tea and jacked it up and got the wheel off, took off the calipers and pads and wirebrushed them all, tapped the lines, used a small amount of wd40 on the piston as it looked like it had seized up a little bit out and thats why it was sticking, the disc also seems a little bit warped, but anyway i stuck it all back together and hey presto it works fine now!!! Thanks for all the above comments and advice and i'm glad im not the only one with this problem.
  8. Seems like old toyotas freeze and the new ones set on fire lol
  9. it does seem common from what i've read, hopefully this thread will help others with the same problem, thanks for all the advice people will give it a try and post the results
  10. Lol, i knew it would be the weather as thats when it started doing it, but i would have thought with all the heat coming from the friction surely thats enough to warm it up and get it working again?
  11. Is it possible to get new replacement rubber strips that run along the full length on both side of the roof, mine look really faded and let down the appearance of the car, if so anyone know the part number??????? thanks
  12. Hey guys, any advice or info on this problem, only started happening with the really cold weather thats now here, basically the rear passenger wheel seems to be stuck, i take off the handbrake and it still seems to be stuck, have tried pumping the brake, doing a handbrake stop, jolting it etc, also have adjusted the cable and it seems to have helped a little bit but it still isnt right, and really stinks where the friction is causing heat. Im taking it to a garage later to have it looked at but i'd like to know what it could be incase they try and con me into something its not. Any help or a
  13. Ok so had this fitted yesterday by my local garage as was to cold to do it myself, the exhaust fits no problems, no knocks, drove it back thinking it sounds great, then i realised it still had the baffle in it!! took it out and it sounds brilliant, pretty quiet on idle but soon as you touch the accelerator it sounds really good. would def recommend this exhaust to anyone thinking of getting one!
  14. Yeah i been doing the same watching them, the lowest i saw one go for was £95 i think?? i put a max bid on of £130 just as a wildshot, checked it again about half an hour before the end of the bid and it was still on £112 i was like wtf??!? nice surprise because i was gonna be shelling out the full £300+ for one, now i can spend the money on another thing for the car
  15. I won one of these on Ebay on Sunday for £112!!!!! arrived yesterday, looks good and will be fitting this weekend all being well. from reading the above posts it sounds like i've got a bargain
