  1. i fort camskill was cheapest at £43 a pop but nice one for letting me know that.. you got a link? well the noise was there before clutch was changed then i think about 3 liters of 75 90 was put into the box when they had it out for the clutch. just seems to be geting louder and louder.. :S
  2. no we was trying to shake them about while the front was jacked up.. gave them a spin and everything thats what i mean, i personally think its a wheel bearing because why would the noise go away when the wheel is turned right? comes and goes as you go over bumpy bit of road too.. i hope it isn't the box because ive just had a new clutch put in and it means geting it off again and spending out for a new one
  3. right car was making this noise a week before my clutch was fitted. sounded like a humming noise which goes away if you turn right but stays there if you turn left. Gets louder as you go faster. 2 weeks after clutch and the noise has got louder.. had the car jacked up at the front and was geting the car up to 50mph in 3rd puting it into neutral and turning it off and it was making one hell of a whining noise while coming down the revs.. we could not work out if it was a wheel bearing, or the gearbox.. car is a 97 glanza anyone had similar problems and found out what it was would be massive hel
  4. the noise isnt there when idling or when you rev it.. and my windows are pretty slow and lights dim a little when i use the switch for the windows so could be alternator.. but sounds like its coming from the left mre than the right :S lol
  5. right, i just recently noticed the noise but im sure it didnt do it before i fitted the fmic.. the car boosts as it should and drives like it should however i can hear a slight whine especially when sat at 60-70 without foot on the accelerator and quites down with the sound of the engine as the speed drops.. could it even be a wheel bearing or something? im sure its not one of the belts.. might just be normal lol :S hard to explain really but any help would be appreciated.
  6. that was the answer i was kinda looking for, wont be doing that then always helpful cheers lads

  15. right..my clutch used to slip every now again in 5th if i put foot right down. doing it in every gear sept 1st now even under half acceleration. so i know its slipping and i know i need an uprated clutch.. but what one? at the moment my car is running blitz access straight through system zisco decat air filter relocated fmic boost creeping to 0.9bar i plan to get hks actuator set to 1.0bar, race tech mani and braided oil feed. do i need a paddle clutch or will i get away with an organic race clutch? the car would be running around 190bhp ?

  19. update- been a while but been abit busy.. finally got my slipping clutch sorted with a carbon Kevlar replacement and went balls out and swapped out the flywheel with a fidanza aluminium one. sorted out my boost gauge, oil temp and oil pressure and managed to squeeze them above the cd player got my sideskirts resprayed as they were a lil bit tatty also used some tyre pen to fill in the writing on the tyres which imo you dont see often and looks nice and track slaggy after this i went militant on the inlet mani, heat shield and rocker cover with a wire brush drill bit and then sprayed ov

  22. Cheers guys, there was a wee bit of bumper cutting but in places you wont see the core got mounted really far back nearly behind the top crash bar and my old man bought home some curved brackets to mount it up properly. still took 5 attempts to get the bumper back on! lol just want to know now if lowish rev chatter is okay or not??
