  1. yeh they did in the end. go to toyota and get a dizzy cap for about £22 i paid. and i got a rotor arm from allparts for about £10. The metal tip was all brown n corroded. runs nicely now. hope it helps buddy. Philpott
  2. got my cap from toyota was just over £20 buddy had to wait 2 days but still is a denso one too if your doing that change your rotor arm too its only about 10boys from all parts.
  3. live in oxford mate my friends were on about going.. they have gone a few times if your on about sunday nite?
  4. mine used to do it on high boost..only under full throttle in 3rd and 4th mainly.. changed leads plugs. check your rotor arm and distrubuter cap aswell.. my arm was all green and correded.
  5. there turbo whistles when i put my foot down sounds lurvlyy but the dump jus whistles slightly so jus gun tighten it.
  6. another question for you loot..probably a stupid one too but nevermind lol. my sard bov whistles abit coming down the revs sometimes.. quite annoying not overly loud but i can hear it.. any ideas why i thought they were only ment to let pressure out when you let of the accelerator, which it does and if you dont touch the accelerater anymore and let it come down the revs it whistles.. does it need adjusting if it does how do i do it.. Thanks in advance!
  7. update..some pictures for you not the best. got my sard bov on too except it seems to whistle sometimes after its dumped if you let the car come down the revs it whistles slightly..lol any ideas anyone?
  8. wow! mine seems to be fine now ive serviced it with upgraded parts just waiting for my distributer cap.
  9. changed leads, sparks and rotor arm, still need to do distributer cap (coming sat). doesn't miss fire any more but lows revs about 2-3k normally, under normal acceleration it seems to stutter abit not very strong and nothing like a misfire but i can notice it, might even be me being fussy. any ideas what this could be..do you think it is the dizzy cap? i have also cleaned air filter. cheers.
  10. yeh it is..well it hasnt been serviced for a start which i fort was a standard procedure.. oh god you have me worried now.. :S touch wood i shall be okay after it is serviced.. how many miles was your celica on? was it cheap.

  12. cheers bud yeh sounds perfect but knocks like fuck in reverse sometimes and under throttle when you let off sometimes smacks against something.. what will i do with the actuator set it at 0.8bar so it doesnt raise to fuel cut? lol sorry still getting used to all this. wheres best place to get a piggy back ecu? Thanks for the advice. little update... Still need to get some photos up but i want to clean it up good first alot of tough black stuff in all the hard to get to places. t cut seems to be doing the job though. rear seats/parcel shelf/spare tyre have been removed.   15. haha seems theres a few of us then! well mine was sat around for 2months at least i believe and the dealer sed the bays got jet hosed so figures are crossed. the car has only done 66,000km. and yeh seems to do it under heavy load.
  16. will do buddy because i will wana know what else to try..u having same problems then? only seems to do it in high boost and doesnt do it all the time, dont think so anyway. turbo ent smoking and kicks in at 2.5k can feel it pull really well barley accelerating so cant be turbo..
  17. thank fuck for that then! the bloke i got it from sed he jet hosed it and moisture must have got in the sparks. did the sparks n fort i had sorted it. but doing it higher revs in hi boost. the sparks were shagged anyway. but jus gotta wait for monster motorsport to deliver the leads now. should be tomoz. Get the oil and filter changed as it was sat for a while. should be well away!

  19. when i first got the car very low revs going to get up to normal driving speed was chu chu chu, spitting just struggling to go anywhere. this i believe is now cured as it does not do it anymore. new sparks and sprayed some cleaner shit inside where they sit. however.. driving normally increasing speed in an ordinary fashion the car drives fine, but if its in 3rd or 4th and i deck the accelerator right to the floor, when it reaches 3-4k it does what it was doing before.. i have ordered some magnecor ignition leads do you think this will resolve it..? only seems to do it when the pedal is right
  20. finally got this home at 2 in the morning on a thursday night after a little hiccup. Where it had been sat for so long the spark plugs had fucked and was causing it to run like a piece of shit. Thought i had been done over..lol any way problem now resolved new sparkies and cleaned the inside and is running better now. going to chuck some injector cleaner in the tank tomoz night, help clear all the shit that has been sitting around for too long!! nice surprise when i opened the glovebox to see a leaflet with apexi written at the top which was the booklet for the exhaust system on it sounds rea
  21. picking this up tomorow will have some more pictures up asap i have a question however..obviously i want to mod it, its got an exhaust already but i will be adding the following.. decat manifold fmic air filter relocated Eventually i am going to want to adjust the boost ect at what point am i going to need a fuel cut defender and uprated fuel system..dont want to fuck the engine up so whens best to get it sorted and where??? ;) i live in oxford about an hour away from london. Ideally looking for a garage with mapping facility's so they can sort it all out for me as i haven't got a clue.
  22. well i am buying it from a jap specialist so i should hope they register it correctly fresh import as well.. hopefuly it will all be gravy.. you got me worried now.. lol
