It is mate the wait will be worth it in the end buddy you will be buzzing the first time you hit boost on TD04 As socks said go external wastegate as the boost will be so much more stable on external

oil being burnt , More then likely turbo seals, easy way to tell remove the decat or cat and see if any oil is there if so turbo seals it is

No boost = air leak some where check all pipes and vac pipes
