  3. havent done an update for a while....... bad news ....... the paint has been out of stock !!!! BOOOOOO!!!! good news....... its back in stock from next week!!! YAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! SO WILL SOON BE ORDERED UP AND THEN THE FUN CAN BEGIN!!! in the mean time if anyone can point me in the direction of a place selling cheese wire for cutting out the windows and a suitable adhesive for sticking all the glass back in, that would be grand! (adhesive cant be the type that the heated electrical guns use, as I don't have access to one any more!) in other news, started to dismantle the sub frames fr
  4. hi guys does the rear three point strut brace from an ep82 fit to an ep91? thanks!!
  5. welcome to the club, love those wheels........ i have some rusty old steelies if you want to improve the cars looks! lol looks to be a good project though and at least you know you brought a sound looked after shell!
  6. with a bolt on filter like this you do run the risk of 'carb freezing' in cold weather, the air box on carbed cars normally have a take off with a pipe that runs to the exhaust manifold area, this is to make sure the carb air stays warmish in the winter months, to stop 'carb freeze', not sure if all carbed cars have this setup, but all of my carbed cars have. all the cars I've owned with carbs I have swapped to either bolt on K&N filters or proper down draught or side draught webbers, and I can honestly say I've never once had any carb freeze in this country!!! it might be more prominent
  7. Side note: Luke your profile picture doesn't dance around when i view this site on my mobile, this makes me
  8. Ah cool that's what Joe thought! I didn't have a clue! lol cheers chaps!
  9. Hey guys, hope its pissing down overthere in thw UK! Lol I'm currently sitting By the pool enjoying the baking sun whilst the wife has a power nap! I was speaking with fellow ukstarletclub member roost with regards to his glanza rep and mentioned that on his build thread someone had mentioned his next move would be to get some glanza front wings, we were wondering what the difference was between them, would they look out of place on a standar starlet? Let me know because I'm fecking bored! Lol
  10. right upto when your tyre shots off the rim on a tight corner or roundabout!! stretching tyres...... it looks cool, but....... i'd much prefer to know when i throw in for that next tight right hander my tyres will still be firmly attached to my alloys! just my 2 pence there!! if you like it go for it!!! and price wise i'd say that was about right!!
  11. well thats my take on it, ive owned alot of n/a and turbo cars, and the only way to get proper gains on an n/a engine is to go the full hog and go proper four branch and full system, on my old xr2 (1.6 8v petrol cvh n/a , incase you didnt know engine type) we rolling roaded the car alot after doing different mods and after fitting the full system and 4 branch the car hit 127.9bhp but dont be mistaken into thinking that an exhaust did all that!!! before the exhaust the car made 122.3bhp, but i had done alot of other engine bits to get that kind of power! for the starlet im just gonna get myse
  12. no point trying to mod a turbo exhaust on as i would have thought the bore would be far to big for the n/a engine, just get yourself an after market rear can welded on by an exhaust place dude you will see barely any noticeable gains performance wise from a cat back system anyway on this engine unfortunately thats just my ten pence obviously, if you wanna spend the money on a custom system there are a few places around like powerflow etc, but i imagine the price would still be like £250 plus
  13. hey man, the car is looking the shizney now!!! Good Job!!!
  14. get it lowered man, it will finish it off nicely!!! (if you havent already!) nice sounds, love the big bass!! mines all hidden away! but i like showy installs to!
  15. the car needs a full respray, every panel is heavily damaged, so why stay standard??!! each to their own I always say!
  16. lol it doesnt need tlc it needs acfm!! (a complete fecking makeover!!) in other news, problems ordering the paint mean it wont get sorted now till sometime in august, which sucks the big one!!
