  1. thats when you know you need new friends!
  2. not being funny, but them things sound very minor to be complaining about! ;) second gear syncro = he might just not be used to the gear box brakes are making a noise = pads/discs might be low under body covers were hanging loose = well just fix them back up and i'm not too sure why you ripped up the documents over a little spat? personally i would of put them in the post just to shut him up!
  3. that the corner where your starlet just came off the road because you've never checked your tyre pressure?? ;) i'd say 30. i usually go for 28/30 depending on where i'm going and how i'm going to be driving!
  4. yeah that comment made me laugh too! ;)
  5. or maybe Toby can see into the future?
  6. my comment was a generalisation of modified car owners, not a personal attack on you Kelly, but i see you've taken it that way, so i apologise! but i'm not going to apologise for the comment, because it is my view and a valid comment.
  7. not quite sure why you think that stock brakes are so amazing, they were designed for the starlet specification of stock weight/speed. even with stock power there nothing special, but then if you add more power/speed without upping the braking capability, your asking for trouble. it's like setting up a bungee jump for a light person, then using the same settings for a heavy person. oh and everyone knows how shocking starlets handle out of the factory God bless D2s
  8. guess un-like some people i value life more then worldly possessions. Plus i have insurance for if it's stolen! Alarms arn't the only way to stop a car being stolen, but if someone wants it bad enough, there isn't really a way to stop them taking it. and yeah...the rest of that quote is kinda covered in my first post
  9. an alarm won't save your life, first mods should be brakes and handling! ;)
  10. nothing wrong with Blue Alloys ;) i got the same reaction when i first started having white alloys on my cars, now these days every bugga's got them

  12. close, type [img]http://............................
  13. you gonna be able to get full lock at the front?
  14. colour matches......but they look hhhuuggeee!!!!!
  15. hello, welcome to the forum, old man you after just using your Glanza for fast road? if yes then your best option is 3G discs (brembo cast) mintex 1144 pads, braided lines and a master cylinder stopper with some 4dot/5.1dot fluid. you don't really need to worrie about up-grading the rear discs/pads, stock it's good enough for track use! as for leads, magnacor do them, but you'll have to check what fitting your Glanza is, i guess it's clip but some of the glanza owners will be able yo confirm! best bet for finding parts is via the traders on TGTT.com people like Toby and Dave can sort y
  16. got anything bigger, of better quality and without bits of your car chopped off?
  17. just take ollies, seriously doupt he even knows his car has one
  18. completely agree with that! personally i'm running 195/55/15 Toyo T1S(front) T1R(Back) like the more aggressive tread pattern of the 'S' for shear grip and dispersing water.
  19. personally i love soft compound tyres, i feel they give the most grip even if they do ware very quickly! profile really is up to what you want, i find 195's are fine for my little GT, i know a few people use 205's for the extra surface area, but they tend to catch on the inner arch of the ep82. i've tried many'a brand of tyre, best ones i've used for fast road are Toyo and Goodyear. yoko's are okay for few hundred miles, then for some reason they just don't grip like they used too kumho seem like a bit of a dark horse, not had a set my self but have driven a 106 GTi with a set and i like
  20. one thing thats being over looked here if we're taking on handling is.... 'Tyres' must remember that these are the only x4 bits of rubber that are keeping you on the road, so please, please make sure you buy the best tyres you can arrord, check the pressure regularly and keep an eye on tread! can have all the handling mods in the world but it's down to tyres to keep you on the road!
  21. 260bhp for £44k, which is basicly a type-R with a few aftermarket bits that are probs already widely available for peanuts. maybe if it was 350bhp and came with a suit case filled with £30k cash in the boot!
