i mainly use auto glym stuff on my GT and i find taking your g/f for a spin makes it smell nice without spending money on air freshners you can get the autoglym stuff ar most auto factor or Halfrauds girlfriends you have to go a bit further field to get the better quality ones

the alternator belt is a bit of a pig, so unless you've got some tech ability it'd probs be worth taking it to a garage! you can only really get to it and the tensioners from underneith!
