Pinkygti replied to Asad's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Am after a passenger side headlamp and indicator housing if you have any? -
was that from the isle of wight?
-
no idea buddy, they came of a glanza, think they are tein springs, got any pics of yours?
-
Lol, got a white sr with grey speedlines lowered on glanza springs
-
Sr all the way Sweet dude, have prob seen you out n about, what colour one you got?
-
Awaiting reg plate transfer at the mo, be ready soon
-
i'm from the island too
-
the small skirts you have listed, are they like the glanza rear spats?
-
this is true yes, i keep my corolla gti in my garage and the starlet on the drive, if the corolla gets wet or anything then i always leave the garage door open so that the air can circulate and dry the car out before i put it away, otherwise the damp can hang around for a very long time
-
Cheers morgey, how much you asking for the rear bench? And yea thanks for the offer, I might be talking engine parts with you soon
-
cheers rob, yea prob won't do much more with her, happy as she is, got a full set of toyota shocks with glanza springs going on this week to drop it just a tad more lower, and a n/a timer that i picked up to plumb in
-
cheers bud, yea they came up really cheap so couldn't turn them away, just re-welded the brackets and jobs a good'un, just need to sort the rest of the interior lol
-
well as i've been on here a while i thought i'd better put a few pics up of my sr, brought completely standard from my ex, as i always looked after the car for her so know the full history behind it, only brought as a run around so i can keep my corolla gti clean and dry use only but love driving the sr, it loves the b roads over here on the iow, always very fussy about my cars appearance and ended up cleaning it as much as the gti will get a list up of things i have done but heres a few pics for now, all comments always welcome good or bad and one of the corolla [ U RL=http://img191.i

Rocker cover looks like the only thing worth salvaging lol -
Yup that's the one, bottom with the head and top with the cap Pinky
-
It needs to go flush with the head, any deeper and the oil won't be able to drain away, use a large socket to GENTLY tap it in, smear some grease around and inside the seal too. Pinky.
-
Unless there's some contaminant in the exhaust that they used when fitting the exhaust, ie assembly paste etc then maybe the larger pipe has affected the pressure?
-
Just cause the design is good doesn't mean anything, is the new pipe the same diameter and the same number of boxes?
-
What size exhaust is it? Bolting a big can with even a few boxes removed will result in lack of back pressure, which in turn if the cars turbo'ed and even in n/a cars will result in turbo oil seals breaking down etc, Pinky.
-
yes they do need re-wiring, ie the pins need to be swopped around and 2 wires need to be cut and re-located and an earth made up for the sr models, just completed mine and its perfect, a good mod if you have the pateince ;) there is a link on here somewhere as someone has done it on another model, the sr is simular to this ;)
-
hey buddy, hows progress on the starlet going? just wondered if you'd made any start on the decals at all? pinky
-
My bad, computer didn't update lol, glad you found the problem quickly, but yea I wouldn't drive it or you might get bore wash Pinky
-
If it sparks when you take it out but seems that it doesn't when you put it in, then problem areas are: Plugs, Leads, Injector, Wiring, Can you smell fuel when cranking/running? PinkyB)
