  1. Ok thanks though dude Anyone else got any info on the stock boost settings so I can check how much it's leaking
  2. Hmm only getting .4 on low and .65 on high So she's still leaking
  3. Got the hot pipe sorted can anybody tell me what the stock boost pressure is on low and high boost Because not sure if its still leaking slightly somewhere else
  4. I say flange I mean where the hot pipe joins the turbo I fitted the fimic and mines ecu but that wouldn't have anything to with a boost leak After I initially fitted it I found it was under boosting and that there wasn't a decent amount of thread in the nuts was literally only grabbing the top so I took the hot pipe off made sure it was lined up ect and put it all back on since then it's making a whistling noise and boosting even less
  5. Ill make a gasket and change bolts can't seem to see any splits or damage on the pipes and only been doing this since I tried to adjust the flange fitted this kit Sunday and been pudding about with it since just want my BOOST back
  6. Ill try changing studs first otherwise top mount will go back on dint want to cause anymore problems cheers For the advice
  7. That's what I was thinking was gonna go grab a tube of locktite sealant and just smooth a fine layer over gasket and pipes but not go crazy with it but ill try removing the studs first otherwise I have no other option but to use sealant or put the top mount back on
  8. It's the point where the flange on the intercooler would bolt on to the ct9 the studs don't seem long enough and can just about get the nut to bite the thread the gaskets still there but while trying to boost all I'm getting I's areal high pitched whistling I can only pressumr it's this part as the rest of it all seems sound spent last couple of nights trying to sort it can't seem to in the cause can I just thread a Long nut and bolt through there or do I have to use the studs provided
  9. Trying to seal the hot pipe for the fimic is proving to be a royal pain in the arse was going to try using some sealant but not sure which to use as it gets quite hot can anyone recommend anything
  10. The pipes seemed to be In good health only surface damage and the hoses nice and tight The only other thing I think is causing the leak is the studs seem to short and I can't get a decent amount of thread through the nut ?
  11. I definitely have a leak can hear it all the time when on the throttle just can't pinpoint where it's comin from il try putting sealant round the hot pipe Cheers
  12. Having a slight problem since fitting the fimic can anyone advice me on what to do first of all it was under boosting and felt sluggish So I checked all the intercooler joiners were tight and had a decent length of pipe in them and noticed the studs on the turbo where the hotside pipe were not done up at all it ls almost like there's not enough thread to grab them ? But tightens them up as far as I could feels pretty solid and since then it's making some insane whistling noise and there's hardly any dump coming from the bov?
  13. Cheers mate ill go up there just getting the time to get there from work not something I can just buy from a DIY motor shop ?
  14. Don't no if I'm explaining this right but basically I was fiddling with my intercooler kit last night when I noticed the bolts on the flange for the hot side pipe had worked there way loose and I tightened the bolt and one of them cross threaded I got it out in the end it's a long threaded bolt one side threads into the turbo and the other side you thread the nut onto anyone No where I can get a replacement for this or what the size measurements of this bolt are got a major boost leak going on as we'll since this so I'm guessing its leaking boost out of the flange Any info much appreciated T
  15. Pretty basic spec Standard engine and turbo Custom stainless exhaust Roose hose kit Fimic Trd leads Mines ecu and that's about it Plan is updated fuel pump Mani Decat And up the boost
  16. Had the car a good couple of years now been on here since I had it thought I'd throw up some pictures up Hopefully it works Fitted mines ecu and fimic on the weekend
  17. Yea I think it's called modified mania I just call it smeatharpe went last year wasn't too bad drifting few club stands and the rest worth a tenner entrance fee
  18. Arnt any of you attending smeatharpe that day or have I got my wires crossed here ?
  19. Not seeing a time in first post :/ but still sleepy
  20. Sounds good but isn't it the same day as modified mania at smeatharpe I may be wrong though :/ Sam
  21. So the overall answer is don't use a catch can then are people running these for a reason then or is it just bling in the bay if they allow the engine to breath no more than the Pcv valve ?
