  1. As always great advice from the lads there.. The one that was for £500, like said before, could very easily become a nice little car for less than £1000 total as long as its mechanically sound. I'd say your budget is a little low, for that price you will be likely to pick one with problems.. GT's go within the region of £1500-£3000 depending on the spec Glanza's between £2000-3500 again, depending in spec. There are a lot for sale over that price however most will be forged motors and will end up being broken for parts to ensure a good return. So after my little essay, I would personal
  2. Fuck you dude, fuck you.... Fuck you dude, fuck you....
  3. Woop! I get my wheels back Thursday/Friday then were ready to go!!
  4. Me to dude!! Maybe ill leave it till japfest to actually let anyone see lol
  5. Yes, stock ecu.. Personally I'd get rid of that manual boost controller.. They are just trouble. Set the actuator to a safe .7 bar to allow for slight boost creep and you will avoid fuel cut.. In the meantime.. Save up for a proper management setup like a plug and play it piggyback ecu..
  6. Worth something to someone these .. Item number: 171035417175
  7. Just sounds like it was slightly out of balance... It only takes a fraction of it out and it will snap... Getting the bottom end off and looking at it should make it a lot easier to diagnose the problem.. Sorry to hear this mate:(
  8. Club store mate... Like below.. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/store/ Matt
  9. Can't beat a good clean! kinda like those side decals dude.. Not so much the rising sun on the wing! Each to their own! Car is looking good though man!
  10. Oohhhh Rob! I'm really not a fan of this sadly.. I just don't think huge splitters look right on Glanzas Big splitters on anything really aren't my thing at all... Like you said, each to their own though and let the haters hate. . . I thought your car looked pretty 'peng' beforehand. Full marks on all the effort your putting into this car by the way! Huge respect for that. Splitter or no splitter, my favourite black V,
  11. Well I'm going to be without the car for the next couple of days as my wheels are going of for full refurb should look fresher than a tube if toothpaste when they come back though... Pics will be on as soon as there back ;) just in time for japfest
  12. Sounds like fuel cut to me mate... Are you running a fuel cut defender? Or what management is the car running?
  13. Sorry Sam, luck not on your side at the moment is it.... Hope your alright dude
  14. Oh yes.... That's epic!! Nice driving by the way! Few bumps in that road there
  15. Personally I would get yourself an air filter relocation kit.. It's a silicon bend with hard pipes and the filter sits behind your bumper.. Perfect place for cold air to hit.. Whilst you are waiting to get that.. I would go and get some fine mesh and use it over the turbo and jubilee clip it down secure... Last thing you want is shit and dirt getting in your turbo.
  16. I'm lucky in a way.. We have the specialists from all areas that used to work for TVR here in Blackpool.. My personal tutor was part of the team that designed the engine did the TVR Speed 12. The guy that runs the dyno cell was an aerodynamics expert at TVR and so on. Basically all the guys that run my car are crazy as fuck. Just like the TVR's they used to build. The old TVR factory is less than 5 mind from my house.. Gutted the day that shut down
  17. That's completely normal... Seems you are rather paranoid ;)... The burble/popping sound is a good thing dude!! Sounds ace..
  18. Ill actually convoy this year... That was the plan last year but I took the wrong junction on the M6 and ended up towards Coventry,.. Turned off and hammered it down the motorway towards the 5am meet but it was like 5.35am by the time I got near the services so I just carried on expecting to catch up... Turns out you lot were still there!!! Ended up at the 7am meet 30 mins earlier than everyone..
  19. How low do the revs get?
  20. Sounds normal to me mate that... I get that too and I have no problems ... My idle sits between 800rpm and 1000rpm but on a cold start it will idle at 1500rpm and drop as it gets warm.. I get casual pops out my exhaust especially when on warm idle ... Totally normal this mate..
  21. We have a formula 1000 Renault that actually competes which is pretty cool... We run the dyno and learn tuning methods. Aswell as the basics.. It's first year so it's all basics to me now but others in my group have never done any work on a car. We do physics, Motorsport related maths and electronics too in the classroom. Maths/science isn't really my strong point, I'm more of a hands on kinda guy
  22. I only just started this year on the college side as I planned on being a PE teacher or something sport related after school but things changed when I had a bad injury playing football. Went into full time work after I recovered and last year divided to pull my finger out and do something that I love so... Motorsport it was
