I can assure anyone interested they are well within tolerance to be used. Absolutely no sanding was involved, chemically cleaned at My local machine shop.. Then the rough edges taken off with a course polishing mop and medium compound then finished with a soft mop and finishing compound. I have a second set in My turbo'd 4efe that I took further than these Ones. The engine made 178bhp and has done 30,000+. Miles with no issues. I've just decided to go forged because I want more power.

I had the pleasure of going out for a little spin in this car early this evening, not only is the build quality and ingenuity of home crafted parts epic on it's own. But I have never been in a Starlet that is such a well tuned package and the Spool and acceleration from a 1.3 litre running a TD05 Turbo is just simply Mind Blowing, absolutely no lag. Plus it's not even fully mapped yet so can't imagine what it will be like when Rob has got it fully tuned. Absolutely lovely car, driven by a gentleman.

Item For Sale: Set of 4efe pistons taken from my spare engine, covered approx 86000 miles before being removed and stored. Chemically cleaned and hand polished for a rebuild of my turbo'd 4efe. I polished the pistons to remove any sharp edges to reduce the chance of detonation in my turbo'd 4efe, I've run my main engine with pistons I did the same with before Turbo'ing the 4efe and have had no issues with detonation. All four pistons are within Toyota Tolerences and spec (so not too much material removed in the polishing process) Decided to go forged instead so these are no longer needed. £20 plus fees plus postage. Get them chemically dipped at your local machine shop, only costs about £10/£15. You'll be able to see any damage and check the tolerances before you polish them. Plus it'll clean out all the carbon from the piston ring grooves etc.

It looks good in the pictures, really impressive work.

I'm about to drop a Glanza Gearbox onto my Turbo'd 4efe, can anyone tell me if I'll need to put in a Speedo converter? I'm currently using Glanza Clocks.
