Just got a standard exedy clutch mike. I will bleed it too when I change it. Just hope the bloody thing turns up this week before iI go back to work :S. I dont have any fluid either which sucks as I used it all doing my brakes not long ago . Il do it all in one hit I think

I've had the car for over a year now and the guy that sold it to me said that the clutch needed replacing but after testing it I found that it bites high and doesnt slip so I just continued to use it the way it is. All was fine until two days ago when the clutch biting point decided it would be literally just off the floor :S and then changed each time. I had a quick look under the bonnet and the plug for the lambda probe seemed to be restricting the movement of the slave cylinder. Or so I thought, after relocating the plug, the clutch still is the same . Just ordered a new clutch as it needs one nonetheless but Im not convinced its gonna be to do with the clutch itself, anyone experienced this problem before??

That looks sweet dude, okay il sort myself out some brackets then thanks guys

Hi guys,
I have a turbo timer fitted to the car which was fitted before I bought it. The guy that owned it before me didnt have a clue what it was. Anyway, firstly can anyone tell me what brand it is, judging by the state of it I think its been through some shit as its taped up, and secondly when its turned on I obviously get out the car and lock it and it turns its self of after setting the time, BUT... it pops the locks back up after switching off which as u can imagine is frustrating when Im late for work and gunned it all the way there to then have to sit and wait for it to turn off before then locking the GT again , so has anyone else experienced this before?? its obvs wiring but thats why i wanna know the brand if possible. Im sceptical about removing the tape as I would rather avoid piecing it back together lol
Thanks, Josh

Alex, if u could mate yes please . and i seriously wouldnt put it past the pikeys that live near me lol
-
-
lol Im pretty sure u can put them in your windscreen, I just dont want them pulling me over and sniffing around the car. Think il just screw her on then because sticky pads make the plate liable to be stolen. Then Im gonna cut the bumper mouth bit out and fit a mesh instead
-
Hmmmmm yeah I think i prefer the sticky pad idea as i dont really wanna screw through the bumper Alex . Can get some from work
Also am I right in saying that its not illegal if your front plate is in your windscreen??

Hi guys,
I fitted an fmic not long ago and I want it to have optimum cooling so I need to move the number plate over offset to the left.
Is there any tricks of the trade when u do this?? Or is the companys that sell kits??
Thanks
-
Nice one, well only way to find out is to fit a filter relocation kit and go from there really thanks for your help mate
-
Id take it somewhere for a 4 wheel alignment mate and get the wheels balanced too, that way u rule out all possible steering issues and then u can focus on balljoints etc if the problem isnt fixed. I've also had it when a car is fitted with budget tyres, they misshape easily and are just generally shit, so that could be another factor to consider dependent on your tyres ofc
-
I say check the brake line joint to the unit as mine were rediculously tight, once fitted they were fine though.
Do u get the when turning lock to lock or is it over bumpy surfaces in a straight line. Could be unrelated to the coileys, I.E could be the ball joints mate
-
Piece of piss dude, I cant remember but the ball joint may have a split pin to get out too, make sure u remove that carefully because u may not get a new one with the new kit, but I could be wrong about them havin split pins.A fuck off mallet should do the job though as previously stated
-
Sweet,so I guess im just complaining about nothing then lol.Well all that needs doing now is moving the number plate over so I have optimum cooling
-
Yh your right, my bad it is the hot side. Well Im not sure but I think I can hear the DV when I lift off whilst revving high so I guess its doing its job but just alot higher up the rev range
-
Dude they are fucking immense!!

U can see the blitz valve on the left and the fitment of it
-
And this is in the process of being put back together
-
Nice one guys thanks . This was the engine set up before hand, very dirty but u see the size of the blitz filter, also u can see where the DV was

New clutch turned up today, bought 3 litres of gearbox oil to be safe and also a litre of brake fluid to bleed the clutch and also ordered a new slave cylinder today which should arrive friday and then fitting all on Saturday.
Think I've covered myself on every angle
