I'm on 2nd thermostat with same issue mate

Ran it up to temp with rad cap off

My boss seems to think my head is cracked so a compression test should reveal all lol He's just pissing in the wind tbh but he's normally bloody right grrr

No various stuff like gears clutch oil leak

Not sure I've had a few issues so not really done much driving in it tbh

yeah cooled down when stationary jay and no I have aftermarket water temp gauge as well

Not really sure why it would be hg though as head and block were skimmed block was decked as well and a new Athena 1.2 hg used but stranger things have happened

im gonna compression test as soon as possible so this is indicate or eliminate hg

yeah hoses getting hard mate, do you mean undo the cap after its been running r u serious ?

yeah gonna do a compression test to eliminate all possibilitys as well but im edging towards water pump

yes mate coolant levels rise as revs get higher

don't think it does, as I remember it had a little resistance I just thought that was normal as it needs to wear but guess not

yeah mikey it does but what does that leave ??? fan works as it should new rad, new thermostat, new coolant, new water pump heater blows hot and cold fine ? im confused

both hoses are getting hot yeah, the water pump I would say had resistance didn't spin freely

ok checked heater its running hot on hot and cold on cold ???

so I forged my engine and ive had numorous minor issues which all have been resolved, but i went for a spirited drive for about 15 mins tonight and started over heating shes had a new thermostat a new civic rad and fan plus new coolant. but when I built it I noticed that the new toyota water pump didn't seem to spin very freely I just put it down to being new but now im wondering if this is my problem I guess there could maybe be a little air still in the system anyone have any suggestions as im kinda scratching my head now
