yeah bud Athena 1.2 head gasket used and ARP head Bolts head and block were skimmed and decked but I didnt have the head pressure tested and it wasn't my head was one I bought off someone off the forum oh well lesson learnt I guess

im guessing it must be a hairline crack in the head as I don't get bubbles like that when its cold nor the crap compression results ?

ok so really wasn't satisfied with my problem being a brand new water pump so I ran her up to temperature nice and warm till she started overheating again and did another compression test to find results were quite different over the the 4 cylinders number 1 was about 137 and cylinder 4 was around the 150 mark so took rad cap off to find shes under pressure, but a whole lot of bubbles coming up as well I may be wrong but I think I have a cracked head what do you guys think ? videos added --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjtFncVTOEQ. http://youtu.be/6QTz3cZadSc

I think some of the time it's to do with insurance costs going up massively after forging and other times people spend a lot to get it finished and then realise how in debt they are after its finished

ok so checked the compression again today and all seems to be ok. and water in rad has been bled again but noticed when the rad cap is off water is not rising in the radiator so im guessing that's pointing towards water pump ?

Surely it would need a flexi or a sprung joint at the 45 point, but other that any good welder could recycle the flanges weld in a flexi and just have a straight pipe no resonator
