  1. hi havent been on for a few days completely forgot about this post lol

mine is a series 1 rallye on a l plate completely stripped, 106 gti engine running cat cams, vernier pulleys, bit of headwork done, remapped, simota induction kit pug group n straight through exhaust and quckshift kit!

had the car on the weigh bridge weighed in at 820kg

    and rrd at 165bhp

i see 0-60 in just under 7 seconds and ran a 14.6 quater at 101 mph

and for those of yous with highly modded cars lead me to a track and then well see who eats whose dust with those laggy turbo engines of yours

    B):rolleyes:B):DB):D

I would love to see you put up against a highly modded GT,theres a couple who have over 300bhp,you really think you would stand a chance on a track. And the question is what car would last the longest :D french or jap?

You have obviously never been in a GT anyway, because i think you will find there is sod all lag, turbo kicks in at 2000 rpm and pulls all the way through the revs. Do some research before you come on here slagging them off mate, and wheres your rr printout to prove all this. Maybe some pics too, maybe someone will recognise it when they wasnt racing you B)

  2. Is it only doing it since you put the induction kit on? because if it is then you can prob hear the wastegate chattering, mines the same.

But i would go for blitz if you want a new one ;)

  3. Right so its looking good for the 7th January SATURDAY, at bluewater, need to sort a time aswell.Needs to be a bit later because bluewater will still be open and lots of cars about. So how about 8 or 9 ish pm that is lol ;)

  4. I have tried searching the net but cant find anyone that sells Greddy BCC or Jam BCC for the EP82 starlet.

    Anyone know somewhere?

Also why is the reason it cuts boost? Is it because the car cannot fuel enough for over 14psi so the ecu stops it? or if a BCC is fitted will the ecu be able to fuel enough for the car to not run lean at 14-15psi? (becuase with a BCC the ecu will try and fuel for the correct boost, wont it? Whereas with an FCD the ecu is tricked and will fuel for a lower boost causing it to run lean)

Im new to starlets so sorry for the stupid questions B)

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The bcc works better than the fcd so im told because the fcd eliminates the cut and the bcc controls it and raises it, but whatever one you fit you should still get a rrfpr to be safe.

Once you fit a fuel cut defender the ecu still thinks its running standard boost so its only fueling for standard boost, but when you start boosting 14 psi and above its going to start running lean because the ecu doesnt know its boosting that much, which is where the rrfpr comes in.It raises the fuel pressure as the boost pressure rises.

The reason for the fuel cut in the first place is to stop the boost going too high and popping the engine. Toyota have just set a limit in which they think is safest, anything higher than that the engine will start to become unreliable. But you should be alright running a bar B)

also go over to toyotagtturbo.com and ask if anyones got a fcd, theres always people on there that have a few B)
