  9. Next weekend arrived and the 1/4 mile event got underway. Off we go... http://s31.photobucket.com/user/killamats/media/20130413_092710_zps13a866a2.jpg.html'> Raced twice today, in the first attempt we were a bit unlucky as we clocked 1.67s 0-60ft which is very good but unfortunately missed 2nd gear and then went on to clock 11.2secs. 2nd attempt - managed again 10.5secs which is same as time clocked in the previous 1/4 mile event. We're doing some tweeks for the finals tomorrow, hopefully can manage a good 60ft again and improve the time. I will put videos up later on when they have been uploaded. In the meantime, I would like to congratulate our friend Dean who managed to clock 10.9secs (10sec bracket for the first time) with his Glanza, The spec is sizeable but he still runs on stock gearbox and mildly ported head, no cams etc. Well done Dean!! Here's a few pics of his bay:) http://s31.photobucket.com/user/killamats/media/20130413_104806_zps5f049fdc.jpg.html'> http://s31.photobucket.com/user/killamats/media/20130413_104753_zpse2810f8c.jpg.html'>

  11. Hi lads, Been a while since the last update. We had the first 1/4 mile event for the season that just started. Unfortunately things didn't go very well, in general. As usual on a Friday evening, we had some practice runs and besides other things, the car was been tested at lower boost levels (20psi and 22psi) with the main intention to try out the new suspension setup. Here's the suspensions that were installed. And a glimpse at the bottom front: Unfortunately the fitting that connects on the stock hub turned out to be a bit too long and the coilover was closing completely, resting on the bump stop. This meant that the shock was not working properly. Obviously we couldnt do any modification there and then so we decided to try it out as it was. On Saturday, we managed to clock one run with the setup the way we wanted it, and we get 10.8sec, which is not as good as the previously clocked 10.5sec and we wished a little better obviously but we know that things were not up to scratch. Also, the 1/4 mile finished abruptly. On Friday, there was some cross wind and in an unfortunate accident an Escort Mk1 equipped with a Cosworth turned over. Thank god the guy walked out without any major injuries. The wind got stronger on Saturday, and some time in the afternoon it was decided this was dangerous and there should be no more racing on the day, and we shall continue tomorrow. This morning it turned out to be really bad weather, in contrast to the sunny day we had yesterday. It rained for a few hours in the morning, and it didnt look like it was getting better. We waited for the ruling from the committee who decided that the races shall be continued in the coming weekend. In the meantime, we shall sort out the suspensions and get the car mapped properly, hopefully the coming weekend there will be no major wind and it turns out to be good weather too. Here's a vid of the run in which we managed 10.9s, its not the best but not so bad with bad suspension (in fact 0-60ft was not brilliant at 1.84) and the track not in the best condition.

  21. We run the DTA S60 Pro. its brilliant imo, very user friendly software and does not require DTA branded sensors that cost £££ like the Microtech and other similar ones. Infact we use AEM sensors all the way, which are a very good brand and available from anywhere even if we need them quickly they're always in stock somewhere. I recommend it to anyone as its not overly expensive while DTA have very good after sales too.
  22. Welcome to the forum mate
