as above, just looking for the ignition harness atm
-
Would the front shocks include strut top mounts? Any rattles or knocks?
-
Well now I have another problem with a extension harness I ordered for "4efe wiring", and being sent to me to be used with a 4efte loom/ecu........
He is saying I should chop cables off the extension harness and send that back for a refund!!!! He says it is "not possible" to send the ignition/main/extension harness back for a refund? "Not possible".....right.....
I also intend to make the relevant feedback thread for my side of that one; including how well you've handled it all with me and the interesting replies that were given over the situation

I'm trying to get hold of all the bolts I need for bolting my CT9/Oil feeds/all the general extra bits to the standard 4EFE.

Dean sells what I believe I need here within Kit 2 but ideally I need it before the weekend, so I'm wondering if anyone knows the lengths I need and I can just head down the local fastener distributor. I'm not sure when Dean will next be on but I've tried to get hold of him to buy the kit, I've just left it a bit late as I managed to overlook this!

As above, love the advance. Never really liked GT's until seeing that at Malton and its really made them start growing on me a bit!

As a reference, I've bought all the bits for a basic setup for around 700/750ish but that includes a ECU with NA loom that I'm going to map myself, if you can wire yourself and map yourself its very viable to do it for a bit cheaper than I have, but that's missing a few parts out of Jamie's list that may need upgrading very soon depending on what the NA bits can take (clutch, fuelpump etc)

Dunlop Direzza RSC

Does anyone have information on the NA tps? Had it apart and it appears to just be a on off switch, and that's how I've been assuming it is, but currently its unplugged while I change some things about so figured I'd clarify, if I get chance before someone chimes in I'll just check it with a multimeter
-
Was eyeing it up as a possibility but theres a few local ones around for cheaper so will have to see how money goes
-
Im pretty sure its lower down than that jim. Its more of a rotational grinding?
In that case I'd agree with David as that's what I thought my problem was until I realised how high up it was
CV joint.

I'm not really up on this, but surely if you're competing in a class with VTS's in you should be in regulations to put a 5efe in the car?
-
Strut top mount?
Currently got this problem with mine, started as a slight knock and creak with weight on the car when turning at low speeds -
Looking good, turbo time?
Thats the hope, lets see how long it takes me to blow it up!
I'm interested In how you got the tps working
Too bad your taking them off.. If your selling let me know as it's either buy these or get some off the bay of e
I'll stick some pictures up at somepoint, and chances are I will be selling them but I might try and make them a more refined package first, I'll keep in contact
-
Glad to see you're properly cracking on with this again

So here is a very cropped screenshot of the current happenings with the car, just to give people a slight clue to what direction this is going in! Bought all the bits I need, but a long way to go yet!
Sadly due to preparation for this the ITB's are currently off the car, undecided on what I'll do with them yet...may find a use!

Haha she wouldn't leave me alone. I kept hosing her down to make her leave but she just wanted to go for a ride!
Anyone have any recommendations on how low to go? Sitting 30mm front and rear atm, putting the d2's in tomorrow and no idea how low to go. First time putting coil overs in will be interesting I'm sure... Haha.
Personally I wouldn't go any lower than 60 depending on the sort of roads you drive on! And if the cars as nice underneath as it is on top you'll have it done within the hour!

Update this you lazy bastard ;)
:p
Was gonna say! sure I saw pictures of this in the japfest thread!

Looks like an amazing base!

The EP91 rear bushes should fit the EP82 arms
Success! Cheers Iddy
-
Rear bushes are different. You will need the fitting brackets from an EP82 to house the bigger bush. ALKs are supplier with new bushes and brackets so they are interchangeable.
Only the front ones differ, rear are the same hence Whiteline ALK (which I highly suggest you get!)
I;d already ordered some earlier today, had a look and ordered the EP91 super pro ones as I obviously have a EP91 fitting bracket, I'm just hoping they fit the arms now.. and I haven't actually looked at ALK's yet, my handling mods are very minimal! Very noticeable?

Hello Mr insurance man, I've impressively crashed my completely standard UK spec starlet

You're going to need some form of fuel management to run them...but unless you're going to put a turbo on I find it highly unlikely you'll need them for an n/a purpose
