mileage is only 68000 and using Fuchs. I'll see if I can convince my boyfriend to have a look at it at his work tonight and look into the valve stem seals.

So my '98 sr has been down on power, but seemed to be ok again the past few days. For a week or two, white smoke has been coming out if I change down gear and then accelerate again, or if I slow down in fifth and then accelerate again. Sometimes just little puffs, sometimes loads of it. But it's not that thick. Also it's gone through half its oil in a week, filled it last monday and checked it there and it's about half gone. And I've started to notice the smoke turning a little blue, so obviously the engine is using oil. But compression was 200/205 across the board so really good. Coolant levels seem ok so I think the head gasket is ok too. Anyone ever had a similar problem? I'm trying to source a new engine anyway but is mine complete scrap or does she have a chance?

Anyone know if a head gasket is away, and coolant is mixing with oil, does white smoke come out? It only seems to come out if I change down gear and then accelerate, or if I accelerate hard up a hill or something. Haven't checked coolant levels or dipstick yet but planning on doing that after uni. The smoke isn't that thick just puffs of white. :'(

It definitely had a few white stickers on it. Didn't see who was driving or anything else so I have no idea, but the wheels were really nice.

She's finally cured, ish. After thinking the worst and presuming the lower piston rings were fooked, or that she was overfuelling, turns out a combination of four blowouts at once (I know, right), needing wheel alignment done and also the fact she's now 16 years old is the reason for the problems. The funny smell was from the breather filter I put on. Still not sure why I get white puffs of smoke but compression tests went very well, 200-205 in each one. Plus the spark plugs looked nice and clean. Either way took her out for a spin last night not scared to go over 3k rpm for the first time and she went sooooo well. So now, back to the excitement I'm hoping that within the next week or two my little girl is going to become something a bit different Beth

Just seen a black glanza with gold wheels beside Laurelhill in lisburn at knockmore junction. Didn't get much of a look though.

I'd say red just to make it stand out a bit more, if that's what you're going for! Or something like red with black lip or the other way round.

Always liked yaris wheels because mine came with steels and I think I just wanted what I never had haha. I think red would look good with the silver!

pumped some redex fuel injector cleaner in today because 99% sure she's over fuelling. Hopefully that'll fix it, if not gonna reset the ECU and might have to take the rolla mani out and replace it with either another standard n/a one or maybe an ep85 one or something, just so it's a little bit upgraded.

Slight hiccup, think she's overfuelling! Feels bogged down in all gears after 2/3k rpm, there's a decent amount of white smoke coming out if I accelerate hard and I smell fuel when I throttle. Will try some fuel cleaner and fix the blow out, and check the spark plugs too. Probably reset ECU too just to be safe. Won't be doing any of this for a few days as I was paintballing with my boyfriend and his friends yesterday and right now I feel like I'm never going to feel happy again! Beth

New timing belt is number one, and fixing a blow out that is causing some serious power loss, I'm a little scared to look underneath at how big it must be... im so ready to just have this little girl looking right! theres one with a girl driving with the "GT" on the rear in lime green? Not sure this one had any green, thinking it might have been nistarbo from TGTT but I didn't get a good enough look to see any distinguishing features

I didn't see who was driving so could be her! Didn't get a great look at it either haha think it was pretty standard, was definitely a clean example anyway.
