Bit of a big surprise... Turns out my boyfriend got my varis spoiler and duck spoiler and tailgate freshly painted without my knowledge. So they'll be on in a few weeks! Now just need my rear bumper and doors and the car is done body wise. So excited!

Just a bit of tinkering being done over the weekend, my exhaust manifold had all but fallen off, as well as having a couple of blowouts, my exhaust sounded like shiiiiite. That's all fixed now, plus timing adjusted. My MOT is in about a month so I'll be changing the front wheels to my winter toms soon since the tread is almost done on my speedlines, and I can't be arsed getting the tyre changed over before MOT so I'll just stick the wheels on. I'm hoping my new parts for the rear end and my two new doors to replace my rusty shit ones will be painted very very soon. Speaking of paint, I'm considering painted my wheels again. I would love to go a really sparkley gold colour but really unsure if it will look ok. I know a bronze kind of colour would look good but I would rather something bright and sparkley because I'm a magpie. Hopefully the new engine will be ready to go in before the end of summer, as I wanna get the run in miles done before I go back to uni, since motorway miles are not good for running in, and when I'm in Uni that's all I'll be doing. Turbo might be a little later than originally planned. We have all the parts minus an intercooler, but I have to pay for my rear parts to be painted and they're more of a priority because I need the new tailgate and doors on asap due to rust issues haha. So I'm not sure I can afford to get a turbo rebuilt until closer to christmas. But once the new engine is in it's ready to take a turbo so its just a case of phoning up insurance and clearing it, then dropping that in. Boring update, I know haha, not much happening til I find out how much paint will be for those parts.

Try admiral, I went from £1200 on my first year to £600 by my second, then £500 and then £450, with everything declared. When I declare a turbo to check for when I finally boost, it actually goes down to £400 hahaha. I'm on a multicar thing with my parents and 3 siblings but I don't think it makes a huge difference cause when I use their quote generator I still get the lowest prices ever.

sucks that it has to be broken buddy, insurance is a right wanker. When I was on my r's I only put wheels on and factory springs bringing my old yaris down a little, so I understand. R driver in a modded car over here will almost always get pulled for next to nout :/

My policy is terrible which is probably why it's so cheap, and because my car is only worth like £1000 it's almost guaranteed to get cat c if I damage any of the parts. If I had a like for like type thing I'd definitely declare everything to rip the arse out the insurance company ha

I'm not sure on the legalities but anything I have on my car that comes on any ep91 shape car from factory, I don't ensure. Because they're factory parts and police, especially over here, aren't gonna know if they're glanza or genuine. All that matters is they're from factory, not aftermarket. Like I said, idk if thats actually true but thats always what I was told.

I havent got access to any good photoshops and I wouldn't know what I was doing even if I did, so would anyone be able to do me a huge favour and photoshop my wheels this colour? Provided photo of my car from the side, doesn't have to be great just wondering if gold will suit.
