So the starlets still smoking the same as before the turbo got rebuilt, now it's not my daily it's just been sitting on my drive being unloved

It did however get a custom centre section made by my mate

So I'm hoping the smokings got something to do with the shitty oil return on the turbo, bought some stainless pipe, but forgot to buy new gaskets (doh!) so we couldn't do it today, but he had a look anyway

Also got a hks air filter to replace the halfords crap and gave it a refurb

So after a brief stint in a rover convertible I managed to buy this back off the guy I sold it to, so it's now my daily, seen as the starlets smoking still.

The stickerbombing will be going asap

Daily'd my gt for ages, wasn't too bad on fuel, my main problem was the exhaust noise getting complaints as I leave for work at half 5 in the morning aha!

And since messing with it its become a bit unreliable these days

When it was basically stock it was a brilliant daily

I'm not that clued up with engine work unfortunately, I can do a headgasket and change valves but I've never changed stem seals.

But it needs a cambelt soon anyway so looks like I will be refreshing the lot, better start saving lol.

Could it be anything else other than the stem seals?

My oil return is a bit smaller than the standard hose, but only by a few mm's

Just gonna bump this up, turbos been rebuilt and hybrid-ised by Liam at midland turbo, it still smokes, gahhhh!

There is a small amount of oil the intercooler pipe but not enough to cause the smoking I'm having

So could it be stem seals or rings?

The quality of the actual mani is really good, the rest just doesn't seem to have as much effort put into it

I had a bad experience, not great customer service and my screamer cracked open, which was actually spotted by whitenoise lol
