  1. Pipeline card seems to be no more than an exercise in harvesting the address details of the gullible!
  2. This is from Wikipedia: Sources disagree on the origin of the word. The Collins English Dictionary suggests that it derives from a distortion of the Anglo-Romany word chavi meaning "child". [1] In contrast, the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary suggests that the word derives either from a nickname for "Chatham girls" [2] or from the Romany word chavo (boy), which is also the source of the Spanish word chaval. It also reports that the word can be used as an adjective e.g. "The bus was full of chav kids." [3]. There are a large number of synonyms and regional variations of "chav", including
  3. A straight through exhaust? No catalyst or silencers then! I think the next urgent mod will be a set of V8 rocker covers to stick on the parcel shelf.
  4. Here's a picture (at last). Sorry it's took so long!
  5. Well, the tubular manifold is on the engine, all appears to be working, I just have to make a bracket for the Idle valve and tidy up the hoses.
  6. It's in the end of the manifold. In post #25 you can see it on the left, with the electrical wiring still attached. I am not so sure either that the 4EFE part will bolt right on, so instead I could use my existing idle control valve with a pipe spliced into the brake servo hose.
  7. My throttle body doesn't have the idle control valve fitted to it. It has a water heated chamber instead and the idle control valve is elsewhere. My plan is to obtain the idle control valve assembly from a 4EFE throttle body and fit that to my TB. (I just got a quote from Toyota for the part - £106 + VAT. :P )
  8. I managed to obtain one of these tubular manifolds and now I need the idle control valve from a 4EFE throttle body. I'm hoping the 4EFE type idle control valve will bolt straight on to my 5E throttle body in place of what's there. So, does anyone have a spare 4EFE throttle body in any condition.... I'm only after the bottom part.
  9. is that a Nissan Pulsar bonnet scoop as well? I expect there's a shopping list down the side of the doors too reading 'HKS, Blitz, Greddy, etc...'
  10. If you look at this manifold: ...it has an extra corner to the manifold flange and I think there's a water channel in the head that this covers up (the square shape between the lower right hand bolt holes). My 5EFHE has this but do the 4EFEs? Or is the opening not there on the 4EFE head..? Both 4EFE manifolds pictured above don't have that square corner. Also where is the idle control valve on a stock 4EFE please? I can't see provision for it on that tubular manifold. (Hope it's OK to link that image here)
  11. Is that the Austin-Rover logo I see?
  12. Thanks! A Toyota Sera. What is the effect of running one of these manifolds on a Starlet can I ask?
  13. Hi Enzo, new to this forum but I'd like one of those tubular intake manifolds.
