5e ecu?

Ok, so vaguely considering going 5e. Got the mechanical side sorted in my head but whats needed on the electrical/electronic side?

Is a standalone ecu necessary or could it be run on 4e or management?

could run 4e ecu on a 5efe but it sucks with suck a low rpm limit

i would try to do the jap ecu for 7200rpm limiter

You can still run a 4e ecu as above but an after market jap plug and play ecu that can raise the rpms would work better or getting a piggy back and maped up

i'd suggest a minimum of the 4efte ecu/sensors/wiring together with emu/emb (or any other piggyback that controls both ignition and fuel)

this combination has been used successfully by many members

standalone is great if you can get a reputable place to install and tune it, but may tend to be more costly upfront

If it's any use to you I have a 5efe fresh from a Paseo with an ecu, but sadly no looms.

Just change the crystal if you want to raise the rew limiter
