prangers
i was just wondering has anyone done this themselves , as i will be with a mechanic mate. and he has asked me if i will need a spring compression tool. does anyone know if you will need this tool or is it just a ratchet socket set you need ??????????? lobotomy
You don't necessarily need spring clamps, couple of my mates have removed their suspension without them. But if you value your manly good looks (Like me ) I'd recommend using them save having one ping out and break your face. starletboy
you can get away without using a spring compressor on the rears as their under sod all tension but id use them anywayz as its just easier but defo on the front unless you want a nut in the side of your head!!!!!!!!!!!make sure the clamps fit the spring properly too as you dont want them to slip off dude!!?!?!?!?anywayz your mechanic mate should be no how to change shocks and springs if hes a mechanic(technician is what we are really called!!!!!!)after all!!!!!!!!!! starletno1fan
yeh my mate did mine for me for free, but he had ramps and a proper air compression spring tensioner. i helped my mate remove his springs off an escort not long ago and it is best to use those spring tensioners otherwise as every1 has sed you wnt look too good afterwards!
