Speedo keeps dropping off!

Currently having an issue with my glanza the needle used to constantly flicker untill I went above 50.. Now it just totally drops off to 0... Any suggestions on what the issue is? Thanks!!

Cable loose or sticking maybe.

Mine went dogey, and that was because it hadn't been fitted to the gearbox properly and had rounded off the pin, bought a new cable and it's been fine ever since

Or the teeth have worn on the drive, they are only plastic.
