Tomson
Hello to all, well i just would like to know what was the stock exhaust from the factory in this car (-97 Glanza V) 4E-FTE. When i bought my car, there was a information that the stockexhaust was changed to HKS Hi Power Silent exhaust, but i have no idea would that be true unless i know how the stock exhaust looked like from the beginning.. or somekind of dimension from it.So anybody know? mart1
Take a picture of the back of your car, if it's HKS you have got a very nice exhaust there, the standard glanza exhaust at the back looks like a little oval tip.

I did have the last piece of the exhaust system for sure from HKS, but im more interested that do i got the HKS from the beginning of the exhaust too? like from downpipe all the way to the back.. middle silencer for example would tell me that pretty well and of course the stock exhaust diameter too. And by the way, why on earth is the last muffler exhaust output diameter way larger than the inlet diamater? What ive learned so far, the output should be as a same diameter or even little bit smaller than the inlet diameter.. for example if my exhaust is from the beginning 2 1/4" all the way to the last muffler, then the pipe "tip" is like 4" or something. mart1
Is your exhaust stainless steel from cat back, standard exhaust isn't stainless also the original exhaust system has heat shields around it.
Ollieh17
It will be very obvious the difference
mart1
Just seen your pictures on your other thread, i haven't got a clue what you got on there, the back of your exhaust tip is tiny and looks a little short, it should stick out a little. Yep i changed the muffler after buying the car because of the noice and how the exhaust was installed, ended way too early (i did get another muffler with the deal, so im using that one right now. Needed to just make the curve little bit bigger that the exhaust wouldnt hit the real axle, not showing in the picture). Here are some photos about the mufflers and the exhaust itself: Hopefully this helps a little bit to recognize whats going on.. I think my exhaust outside diameter was something like ~5cm/2".. sounds like little bit tiny to my ear but i dont know.. need to check it again. Because 2.25" would be like 5.7cm and its not anything like that.. and i think this HKS Hi Power Silent exhaust should be like 2.25" ? Im pretty sure now that i dont have anything stock in there, just need to measure that diameter one more time to make sure that its not 48mm. How restrictive is the stock exhaust manifold + stock downpipe for that ct9 turbo? im running now ~0.8 bar boosts and wont go over 1.0 in any circumstances. I understand if im going for TD04, then i need to replace manifold+downpipe for sure, but do i get that much benefit with replacing those parts with this settings right now?
