Engine won't rev over 3000 rpm

Just got my project glanza going, it starts up and ticks over lovely, timing is spot on, it's had new fuel pump and fuel filter. When driving it down the road it won't rev over 3000rpm and it pops and bangs and won't rev any higher. Anyone got any suggestions on what it could be? It been sat for 6 years, engines from a gt

Take the dizzy off and inspect that probably the points all shity

Also the engine warning lights not coming on

I've had the dizzy off cleaned it all up, and the rotor arm, I've got a good dizzy off my other glanza I'll try swapping them over

do a diagnostic first----any codes?

check MAP, knock and TPS sensors and their connections
