TimD
When rebuilding I obviously renewed all the seals. I seem to have a leak from the cambelt side crank seal, but can't think what I must have done wrong for this to happen. The seal was installed squarely, and I spent a long time making sure it all lined up. Is it possible to install it too far into the oil pump? I remember there not being a lip on the inside of the pump, like there is on the rear main seal housing. Any advice would be great. wakeabby14
Put a tiny bit of gasket seal on mine when i did it. Not leaked and had no problems
5e colin
You might of scratched the casing or the rubber seal itself
TimD
Seal is in a brand new oil pump so I don't think I'll have scratched it, but something to look for when I get round to taking it to bits.
