Gibb Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Has any one ran a billet td05 on a standard engine, the td04 I have spoons up to quick 🙄 Quote
maddox710 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 I had billet 18g wheel and housing on 16g side entry, really Laggy still, old fashioned turbo no good really unless your chancing numbers, get a vf24 Quote
TimD Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 It would appear that turbo lag is the requirement? Quote
Gibb Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) Tuning developments do a td05 billet turbo, just wondering what that would be like at 1bar, anyone know the spool times on them? Edited September 27, 2017 by Gibb Quote
gorganl2000 Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Tuning developments do a td05 billet turbo, just wondering what that would be like at 1bar, anyone know the spool times on them? standard engine...1 bar given those two criteria, i'd suggest you stick with the td04 or similar size a td05 of any sort would be most likely inefficient on that set up Quote
daniel_g Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I currenty have a TD04 getting fitted with billet wheels at Midland, they would do the same with a TD05 i am sure.Or ebay chinese TD05 20G for 139.99 lol Quote
jayc-glanza17 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) Unless your forged standalone ecu id stick with a td04. I run a td05 at 1.6bar i get a bar by 3.9k and 1.6 by 4400. But with the old race inlet it was 4100 to 1.6bar.. Just giving you an idea of what a td05 is like Try a vf34 if you want good spool and power Edited October 19, 2017 by jayc-glanza17 Quote
