Andrew Miller Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 The engine is coming out my Glanza over winter for a refresh. Car had been sitting nearly 4 years when I got it so thought may as well take the off season to breath some new life into it. Currently on my list are: Timing belt kit, water pump, oil pump, crank seal, rocket cover gasket, possibly sump gasket. Will inspect the clutch and flywheel while its off and take it from there. Anything else I have missed that is important to do while its out ? Quote
Ollieh17 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 I would do all seals and gaskets. Consider doing the headgasket if no evidence of it being done. Then may aswell do stem seals too. I'd replace all the hoses etc too Quote
jimmymac101 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 if you've got time and the money id replace anything and everything that can be replaced James Quote
Andrew Miller Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 headgasket had crossed my mind. However I was hoping to not go that far with it, Suppose for the sake of some head bolts and a gasket it might be worth doing. Vac lines etc will be replaced as necessary. Trying not to spend a fortune while its out however not wanting to miss anything obvious at the same time. Quote
5e colin Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 DOnt forget rings and bearingsif she is out right time to do it Quote
AdamB Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 If compression is good, nothings leaking etc then leave it as it is. Just replace the timing belt, water pump. Quote
maddox710 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Don't forget to change the flux capacitor Quote
