stupid c.d player wont fit my car

i thought any car cd player would fit any car.

was all happy bout getting my c.d player went to fit it and the leads with the sockets from the car didnt fit into the cd player sockets.

proper annoying when things go tits up!

did this happen to any 1 else?

Can't you get wiring adaptors?

they do all fit but u need a toyota specific wiring harness, then a toyota to (insert cd player name here) harness then plug and play

the new c.d player is called Sony - MEX-BT2500

so i just need to find the wires set for that c.d player?

That changes the toyota plugs to the Standard ISO plugs that most modern headunits use. I kept that sony headunit for a few hours before realising it didnt have no amp output so i sold it on. Nice headunit though!

Thats the toyota to iso, bit u also need a iso to sony connection unless theres one with stereo

Mate halfords do a toyota adapter (which i needed) fer like £14

lol.. yea i almost bought 1 from the local motor world.. what a mistake .. But usually a brand new headunit comes with the standard (Black) iso blocks so all you would have needed is the Toyota to ISO .. Part number for anyone else who has trouble like this is PC2-17-4..
