Launching a Starlet Gt

Thinking of taking my starlet gt on a 1/4 mile drag strip in a few weeks to see what times it’s reaching.

I’ve got a emanage ultimate with launch control set up never used it and not sure how to.

This is probably a stupid question but how do you launch a starlet gt td04 off the lights to get a good start?

The launch control in an emanage is fairly basic and doesn’t really help all that much.

Launching it is down to your clutch control and progressively disengaging the clutch to aid with traction, rather than just dumping the clutch in one hit.

Oh ok thanks for confiming mate so no need to hold revs at certain rpm or anything?

Well yes you’ll still need to do that. You can use the emanage ‘launch control’ to hold the revs stable for you, but like said above, how you engage the clutch is the main thing.

yeah,,,to add to robsr,,,you need to maintain the balance between bogging the car and wheel spin

some moderate clutch slip, suspension set up, good tires, track prep, etc all will play a part.....but its something you should get better at with more experience

To engage the launch control on the emanage you just have to have the car stationary and foot flat on the floor, the emanage should hold the revs at what ever its been setup at.
