nicwan8
hello and welcome budthe car looks clean as hell man, you got any further plans?Yes, I have a spare mild ported head from 4efte engine ready to be installed as soon as I can get a set of cams I have been waiting for speedvision.com to stock on the cams for months now. If it doesn't come in 2-3 months time, I will have to custom make it from 4efte cams(regrind and grounded) to my intended specs.Fingers cross and hopefully speedvision stock them up soon.On top of that, I have a microtech LT-8 standalone ECU too to be installed once the engine head is installed. I'm also putting TRD thin headgasket (0.5mm) to help raise the compression.

nicwan8
I know this is the wrong section, but I'm trying to keep the flow of this post. Any ideas that the English have in their mind to increase hp in a 4efe ?

BenV
I know this is the wrong section, but I'm trying to keep the flow of this post. Any ideas that the English have in their mind to increase hp in a 4efe ?i think they put one of them corolla inlet manifolds on them for a bit more power
Sparky
He has 4efte inlet VBoi!Did that make a difference by the way??
nicwan8
He has 4efte inlet VBoi!Did that make a difference by the way??Well, by theory, fte intake on fe will move the peak power up the rev range, and will give more at the top (at the cost of down low)
SiCaln
didnt think there was much diff in the ir construction, except fte ones are JDM and tend to be better made
nicwan8
didnt think there was much diff in the ir construction, except fte ones are JDM and tend to be better madeThe runners on the 4efte intake is shorter than stock 4efe.
Sparky
So did you notice a top end increase?
nicwan8
So did you notice a top end increase?Yes, but not "much" as in still on stock ECU, rev cut is at 6200rpm.I have an aftermarket ecu waiting for be install and I'll raise it to 7000 or maybe 7200 rpm.then I will notice a big different. Sparky
Yea same gains as using the Corolla 4efe inlet manifold all the power is moved up the rev range and you need to increase the rev limit to get full advantage, just watch those valve springs ;}
