tbh aslong as you don't open any unknown emails and regularly scan your computer for viruses/spyware/trojans/other shit then you'll be fine.

CCleaner = recommended program for clearing shit off the computer, I always run it before I shut the computer down, takes a few seconds, oh and it's free. It doesn't scan the computer for viruses or spyware or anything, it just clears all the shit off your computer (internet history for example) which is where things like spyware usually are.

Facebook has a virus going round too. An email keeps getting sent from people automatically without them knowing and it does the same as what was said above.
