Hello guys.

The time has come to do an oil service on the Glanza V.

What oil grade do i need?

What brand do you guys recommend?

Part or fully synthetic?

She is an 1998 Glanza V with 78k on her.

Thanks in advance

10w40 will be fine mate, there's no scientific reason why 10w30 will be any better, it all depends on the climates etc, japan climate is very different to ours, thus 10w40 seems to work better over here.

Right guys.

After work today i carried out my service replacing:

Oil

Oil filter

NGK7 spark plugs

Magnecor 8.0mm Ht leads

Distribuor cap

Rota arm.

Everthing went fine although a little oil went on the aux belt whilst removing oil filter, i cleaned the oil as i didnt want it to cause any inconvenience.

I later drove to my mates house nd went to grab a bite, On the drive something didnt quite feel right as the revs were rising a little faster than the speed on an occasion. I knew something was wrong as the car felt as if she wanst reaching her optimum, even after the service.

I then later cleaned the aux belt to make sure there was no excess oil floating around, which there wasnt.

Drive back from the M25 - the engine management light came on, car was driving fine with the slight rev stepping faster than the speed.

I have now put her in the drive to see what i can find for tomorrow, must be something that i must have moved maybe?

What can it be guys?

I had to remove the Intercooler and so on to carry the service...

Have i knocked a sensor somewhere?

Thanks in advance
