Asad Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 After hearing that mate sod it, sometimes its viable to do a conversion for the fun etc if your in a good area, lots of ncb, older driver but when its going to have a really bad effect on insurance might aswell get the real deal.......im really thinking of it too Quote
Jozinobi Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Thats true asad mate. You gotta start somewhere, build up some ncb and move onto bigger and better cars from there.Joz Quote
addz Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Some good advice on here chap.I wouldnt bother doing a conversion i mean by the time you've forked out for bits that you need including odds and sods your likely to go over your budget.Choice is yours but dont for one second its easy or cheap. Idrees Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I'm with Dub7. Go buy a Glanza, they are silly cheap anyway. Quote
pagey Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 I'm with Dub7. Go buy a Glanza, they are silly cheap anyway. i cannot beleive how cheap they are now compared to like a year ago its deffanatly a buyers market Quote
Asad Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 They would never have stayed at the price they were......some are still advertised on ph at £4k+ Quote
Nanglebadger Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 as Dub and SiCaln have stated, insurance is the key, its generally cheaper to insure the factory version than a conversion, i have simply worked hard to get my insurance downto where a conversion will cost little more than the n/a to insure.good luck with your decision man!Phil. pagey Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 Mega stress doing a conversion and you WILL go over budget But......when its all done and dusted running mint, you'll always smile at it...i do Another way i was thinking (and geo) is buy a Glanza and sell the full kit off it and put n/a stuff on it Get a little cash back AND look like a sleeper I was really surprised by the insurance. Civic would have cost me £1000 to re-new...conversion with everything declared was only £730 with adrian flux u wouldnt have the looks tho then ;) Quote
