ste91
nah I'd assume it's probably a boost controller or something, what sort of controls does it have on it and where are the wires/leads going to?
chrisEP82
at work at the moment so will get one on there cheers
chrisEP82
it has no controls on it its taped to the carpet and then the wires go under the carpet it looks like a ECU but didnt know if thats where toyota put them as never seen another gt before
ste91
On the EP91 the ECU is behind the glovebox, not sure on the EP82 though. Will be easy to answer once you get some pics

Idrees
ECUs are behind the centre console part of the dash on 82's, so it won't be that.A pic would help! Possibly a turbo timer?

paul w
It's for the radio i think
Glanza_Ragger
It's for the radio i thinkYeah, could well be, unstick it and have a look for any writing on it, it is kinda the obvious thing to do after all.But as Paul said, some people stick wave expanders on the jdm head units to expand up to the 100's on fm frequency.. Has it still got the jap head unit in the car? And cant you just follow the wires behind the dash to see where they lead to, that way theres no need to guess
starlybruiser
got one under my seat too (glanza), havent a clue what it is or what it does, asked my mate and he seems to think its a control unit to control the power goin to things like lights and heater etc, but i havent a clue and he could be wrong cheers starlybruiser
